Be careful, X7 is terrible for families! While the x5 has 50cms on the 2nd row between the isofix slots x7 has only 42cms! So their mom needs to struggle in that small space. x7 is extremely small for families, much smaller than an x5. If you dont beleive it measure it yourself, we have an x5 and an x7 in the family, both new.
BMW is simply executing better than anyone else in the luxury space, including Mercedes-Benz. They're getting refreshed products to dealers much faster and they're constantly refining their products. They're also stacked from top to bottom with performance models, more than anyone else. A new 5-Series is coming next month. As far as execution goes. Genesis would be next. Not a dull product in their lineup and all of them desirable. Say what you want about BMW's latest designs, they sell. Sales/Money talks, all else...........
Hello gentlemen. Good review video on the refreshed 2024 BMW X7. This thing is a beast performance wise. The appearance of the vehicle got a refresh and so did the powertrains. That's great they added heated seats for the third row. I think they might be the first auto manufacturer to do that. A nice addition is that the third row seating passengers have their own climate controls. That I know they're the first to do. Other auto manufacturers will follow for sure. As for overall space, like what was mentioned in this video, that's the achilles heel/air ball/blemish for the vehicle. Maybe when the next generation X7 comes out the overall size will get a good jump from all angles. Current length is 203". Maybe for the next generation X7, BMW will probably increase the overall length by 6 or 7 inches, the height by 1 inch or 1.5 inches and the width by 2 inches. If they do that, then overall space would be in comparison with the Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, Infiniti QX80 and Jeep Grand Wagoneer. I'm not sure if you guys reviewed the Grand Wagoneer yet. If not, you'll like it in terms of overall space, comfort and performance.
I actually found this video while trying to figure out if BMW had some attempt at dynamic or animated turn signals. In person the X7 front and rear signals look like an electrical fault, they don't look premium at all. Seriously looks similar to an old car that has a ground fault. BTW tip to the video creator, change your frame rate on your camera, that way you don't see the pulse of LED lights that make the signals look even more broken than they are.

Such a great car, we love ours, and am so happy having bought before the facelift. The beautiful front facia is gone 😳 and the interior with the Mercedes like instrument cluster 🤢 was one of the reasons not wanting a GLS, best is its graphics 🫣. However the gear shifter 😬 and those arrows on the passenger side 😱 top the list. 👎🏻
What about the long term ownership of these luxury SUV’s? I heard they are really expensive to maintain and once they get to 40k miles things always break is this correct? Would you buy one of these used? Let’s say 45 to 55k miles on it? Or would you lease?
Super nice car!! I'd take this over a Maybach...I just got a X3(used) and I do love the truck but no BMW should have plastic in the interior!!! Takes away from it being luxury
In Germany, it’s considered the lowest quality German car because maintenance costs are so high due to all the plastic under the hood. If BMW would replace that plastic with lightweight, durable aluminum, then they’d be the top German vehicle!

The x7 offers adaptive cruise control. Not sure if it's by default. I bought the whole driving package and I have the adaptive cruise control. My only complaint about it is how far away it keeps you from the car in front of you. (It feels like 3 cars lengths away from the car in front of you. I hope that makes sense.) I believe other people have complained about that too.
I've owned 3 different BMWs. Two 3 Series and one X3 M40i. The final two were turbocharged 6 cylinder models. My first was a naturally aspirated 6 cylinder. Words fail to express my deep disappointment in the "mild hybrid" aberration the Motor Works have used to cripple a famous performance engine. The so called 48 volt generator/battery in between the engine and the transmission is nothing more than useless weight. Why any driver would want their engine to involuntarily turn-off and disengage while coasting or at full stop is beyond my comprehension. My X3 is a 2018, and near perfection as is. The final model year to which I am now limited appears to be 2021 or 2022, perhaps 2023. BMW is now refusing to allow those enthusiasts who enjoy owning their cars, drive them unrestricted. Hard to believe, but true.

For the price you are paying and if you want luxury and the BMW experience then look at the 2024 7 series Sedan. Way more bang for your buck. Honestly by comparison this a big slap in the face to their customers. Do better BMW.
