In "All The World's a Stage", (also called "Seven Ages of Man") Shakespeare compares this world to a stage and calls every human an actor. Mewling: Crying in a low voice
Puking : Throwing up/ Vomiting
Whining: Complaining
Satchel: a bag carried on the shoulder by a long strap and closed by a flap, used especially for school
Creeping: Moving very slowly
Unwillingly: Against one’s wishes
Woeful: Sorrowful/Melancholic
Ballad: A poem or song narrating a story in short stanzas
Pard: Leopard
Honor: Respect
Bubble Reputation: Short-lived/temporary fame
Capon: A lined pocket of a coat, meaning one bribed with the present of a fat chicken. In Shakespeare’s day it was a common complaint that those who wished for justice from county magistrates had to bring presents with them.
Severe: Strict/Serious
Lean: Thin
Hose: Clothing for the legs and lower body, worn from the Middle Ages through the 17th century
Shrunk shank: shrinking of muscles due to old age and weakening of legs
Treble: high-pitched voice
Oblivion: Loss of memory
