Someone once gave me a “fan-designed” shirt! Like they took the name of a place from my book and made it look like merch from that specific location. It was the coolest gift!
I have always wanted to have a Clever Fox planner, I see them every where but I just never get around to buying one. Shame on me I know. 🤣. Such a wonderful idea.
Hi Alexa. I have had a Clever Fox planner before and loved it. As a writer and caretaker I'd really enjoy the hourly pro planner in periwinkle to make my life easier.
Rose gold planner that's undated...Love that so much! I'm also a fan of Book Boxes and Writing courses. That would be amazing. Scrivner would be awesome to try too but I don't have money for that. So I'd rather not spend money on something I might not like or use.
Thanks for this video! Apparently my husband was listening while I watched it. I ended up with a 6 month subscription to Writing Mastery Academy as my Christmas gift. 🎄 I'm super excited!!
Congrats you are one of the winners of the planner giveaway! Shoot me an email at hello [at] alexadonne [dot] com and I'll walk you through choosing your planner and getting it mailed to you!
"So that they can NOT write their book and watch TONS of television." I laughed out loud. This is so me. What a great video for ideas, Alexa! Thank you!
I couldn't use a planner to save my life XD even if they're gorgeous ^^ I didn't thought about coffee, that was a good idea sadly they won't delivered in my country.
Oh EXCELLENT ideas here! I will probably just send your video to my family members as my Xmas wishlist 😂 Also, I am all about that planner life, hell yeah. I am in the US and would love to be entered in your giveaway ❤️

My dad is also a writer and I bought him a domain and everything to set up a website. He's hard to please, and he seemed happy to get it. Also I'm waiting for him to get a cover for his book so I can make all the custom merch with it.
As an aspiring writer, I think any planner, journal, or similar item is great! These were all great gift ideas. The wellness planner sounds great! (US)
I bought a netbook for around $200. They’re small, lightweight and does everything my laptop does but are convenient to travel with. The one I got even has two USB ports. The one I got my daughter cost around $250, is a touch screen, and flips to convert into a tablet.
Book themed (actual book text) fingerless writing gloves are what I asked for. My hands get cold when I write. I've seen other book themed products like scarves and throw blankets. Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, Edger Allen Poe, etc.
I have never used a planner, but having one of these would make me start! They're all so fun-but I think the Rose Gold or the Dark Blue are my favorites. I'd love to see how you fill out the Recipe Book!
I’d probably use pencil in an undated planner until I get more than one or two things in that month 😂 I like using them, but got to where I tend to forget about them and then I watch all the months go by like damn
Congratulations to you for getting a sponsorship!! I’m so happy for you. Hope they paid you well 😉 don’t hesitate to accept more sponsors and continue making merch! I love to see you winning
The Hunt a Killer sounds really cool. You would have to tell me how it works once you figure it out. This is potentially a really good, but maybe somewhat unoriginal gift idea + video idea in one! Which is film a video during Christmas season with a close friend, take them to a bookstore, a stationary shop, or whatever their interests are. Tell them that they can spend a total of $40.00 or something, and set them loose in that store. Obviously this is another one of those ideas that are for the ballers that can afford to do that since books are pretty expensive. Another good idea for the writer friends is if you can buy a word processing software for them, or a month or two worth of subscription. I know you mentioned Scrivner, but there's also one called Dabble, and many others. All of the ideas you mentioned are really good though! I love puzzles even though I don't have a really big collection of them. I especially love working on puzzles while listening to an audiobook. I would be interested to know about how the puzzle buy back or whatever it's called works.
College student here! I keep trying to fit my writing into the tiny spaces between school and work and all that. I've made hour by hour schedules recently. When I was younger I never needed an hour by hour planner because- I was in highschool what else was I doing? But now the hourly planner seems like something I should definitely look into.
Love the planners! I’m in the US and would absolutely love a budget planner. Although to be fair the premium planner looks amazing, too. I’m dipping my toes in bullet journaling, and anything with an assist on spreads is great.
I always love gift list videos, particularly if aimed at writers. Such fun ideas! I must admit I want to use planner, but they never match what I need. These ones by Clever Fox look promising though! I think I’d like the hourly planner since I’m more detailed oriented in my thought process. Thanks for the opportunity to try one of these. :) (I am in the US, btw)
Oh my, thank you so much for introducing me to Clever Fox Planners! I know so many people who would love these (yay gift ideas!). I would love the rose gold pro premium planner to help me organize my work writing and personal writing!
I am a planner fiend! I am so bummed I haven't needed to use my planner because I've only had online classes for the last 2 years. ALl of the specialized planners are cool but I am definitely the type for the normal planner, the Clever Fox Pro Premium. I'm so glad you got this opportunity. Also puzzles omg. I have discovered I can't stand them. I bought one second hand for a friend and decide to build it to see if all the pieces were there and omg its so hard I've made a terrible decision. But my dad is thriving trying to complete it for me. edit oh I am in the US btw :)
hahaha oh no! Did you start on a hard puzzle? Some are BEASTS. I've discovered I have favorite brands and types and you have to get comfortable with various puzzle strategies. So currently I"m doing a very frustrating one, but willingly--if I'd started on this I would have given up! (it's like 50 cats so a million different textures and colors and fine details) I like to do basic bitch Americana landscape type ones to relax--the kind of pokey paintings Your Parents would like--Buffalo Games has a bunch of lakes and fires and cabins and boats ones with soothing sunsets lollll.
@@AlexaDonne It's a mosaic version of the starry night made up of pictures of space shuttles and astronauts and space and it's very cool but you have no context for where stuff goes besides colors. My friend likes them difficult but oof too much for me who hasn't done a puzzle in years. also omg hi! It's an honor to have you comment back! I love your content. I love listening to writing videos as I'm going to sleep.
Thanks for the gift ideas. I need to find something fun for my sister and also figure out what to ask for myself. Also, that Clever Fox budget planner pro would be a great extra Christmas present for my sister.
I also love puzzles but I honestly don’t have enough time to justify $30 a month. But damn, there seems to be a subscription service for everything now. I personally am so glad I finally got audible. I just love being able to „read“ while doing chores or walking outside.👍
Hi, Alexa! I’d love the recipe book!! I’m moving to the US for college in the next couple of weeks, and I’m going to need planners! 😁 always love your videos!
I love these suggestions. Super fun! I tried bullet journalling last year and found it enjoyable but found my creativity ebbed by May (partly to do with being a mum and planning my WIP). Trying again next year and hopefully will have more luck. I watch all the Scribbler unboxing videos and always envy those who are lucky to receive them. I'm from the UK and the price of shipping alone is horrendous 😭😭😭. Ugh! A subscription to that box would be amazing! As a writer I haven't used Scrivener, mostly because I don't use my laptop for writing as much as I used to. I hope they bring it onto android in the future. I would definitely buy/use it then!
I LOVE THE ALPHASMART! I was so happy to hear you mention it. I've been eyeballing a few of them on ebay. Some of my most inspired writing happens in sand dunes where I'm simply not willing to take my laptop. Plus Alphasmarts produce little or no light, so you could type away in your dark, middle-of-the-night inspiration without waking others in the tent/room. :) Also, I love the puzzles idea.
My husband and I are freaking obsessed with JOE KENDA! He lives in Virginia Beach (near us) and during local events/festivals they are always advertising that Joe Kenda will be there. So tempted to go get a glimpse of him IRL. I want to walk up to him and say, "Well, my, my, my."
