I’m a senior in highschool rn and Loyola is my top pick, so this was rly helpful! I’m trynna get as much info from current/past student experiences and perspectives before I decide commit. Ty! :)))
@@RyanMolkentin 🙏 . I am graduating from school after 4 months in Uzbekistan. I got into LOYOLA University Chicago, Class of 2028 and awarded with Presidential Scholarship $30,000 per year. Now, I am not sure how much money should I have for additional expenses. Can you give some info about tuition fees for international students. Thanks in advance. ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
usually don't comment on videos butjust wanted to say thanks for this- your honesty and straight-to-the-point info super helpful for an incoming freshman :))
Watching your vid brings so much memories. Graduated from LUC back in 2012. Best years of my life. I loved every moment. Thanks for keeping us up to date.
Im between DePaul and Loyola rn, transferring in for Psychology. Loyola is winning the race so far and they gave me a pretty solid aid offer. Its nice to hear the social scene isn't dependent on drinking or large parties like some other places. Drinking and smoking just arent my thing. Hope to see you on campus if you're still around. Thanks for the vid!
Thanks a lot, this is a great guide! I'm considering enrolling now as a senior and I'm glad that I came across this. Also, good job with the editing lol
Typically how many students are in a class?? Also are professors lenient? Do they give extra credit? Do they curve?? Also do the stem students seem stressed?
Hi Ryan, Loyola Alumnus...class of 1983...yes, 40 years ago. I lived in Mertz Hall for 3 years before getting an apartment one block north of campus. In the early 1980's, many students commuted & didn't live in the dorms. Do all Loyola freshman & sophomores have to live on campus, even if they only live a few miles from campus? Loyola was not a party school in my day either, but you could always find a party if that was a priority for you. Now hit the books!
@@RyanMolkentin well, fortunately for me, I have worked steadily for almost 40 years...only unemployed for about 6 months of that time. End of 2024 I am hoping to retire. Go Ramblers!
i recently went to an admitted students event and was told that freshamn didn't have to dorm there as long as they exempt. sooooooo can they commute or not im confused as frick and decission day is tm lol
Hi there Ryan! Just came across your channel; my name is Starry and I graduated from LUC in 2019! I do comedy and I have this great idea to conduct entertaining yet informative interviews with students about their experiences at different college campuses. I'd like to start at Loyola and I assume you are still a current student? I'd be interested in collaborating with you to make the Loyola episode happen! You have a platform I can connect with you privately?
My daughter got accepted and is trying to decide if it's worth getting loans to go to Loyola. The only financial aid information she has received is about loans. She loves the campus and proximity to Chicago. Doesn't love the cost. Any tips on lowering the tuition?
Yes absolutely! I know of many people who were in your situation. Loyola is more flexible than you may think. Email Loyola's financial aid office and tell them your situation that you love the school, but that you need slightly more aid if you're daughter is going to attend. In many cases they'll revise your aid and give you more than originally given!
If you're granted the highest scholarship they give to average applicants you'll get half off tuition :) I believe it's called the presidential scholarship
How difficult would you say the math classes were? My projected math class is either math 131 or 161, I have problem really being able to execute formulas and understand how to manipulate to fit the problem at hand. I’m planning on studying as much as I can to fix it. Would worried do you think I should be or should I look else where schooling wise?
hello! im a little late to the party here but I was just wondering which "majors " are at which campus. I got accepted into the engineering program and was just wondering where most of my classes would be (lake shore or water tower)
DePaul is much better than Loyola-Chicago, Loyola Marymount, Loyola New Orleans, and Loyola Maryland. Don’t believe me…then just visit DePaul! You don’t have to take my word for it. Loyolas are all good schools, but they are not at the level of DePaul!
Is there link to dorms in or near Loyola and how much it may cost for 1 month student? Could you please help with any details related to accommodation or hostel fees and place please
