Inuyasha is extremely popular around where I live, I personally haven’t read it but I plan to. But all I’ve heard are positives. So it might be a good read for both of us raian.
Prince of Tennis was very popular ten years ago. I am thinking of collecting it but not sure since vol 1 is OOS right now. Such a cool aunt to give you all of these.
I’m reading Inuyahsa rn actually. It’s a big commitment because it’s very long, and Rumiko Takahashi is a master of pacing cuz so much happens in one 20 page chapter that it feels like 2 17 page ones, plus it’s like 56 volumes. And it’s surprisingly perfect in every aspect, from story, to art, to characters. I’d very much recommend you pick up the omnibus versions if you wanna pick it up. The main cast is fantastic, the main villian is fantastic, and you’d think it’d drag but it really doesn’t. Again “Surprisingly perfect” is what I call it
Actually DMP published Berserk in collaboration with Dark Horse until vol 37 Pretty hard to find now, tho. Dark Horse reprinted the entire series as the sole publisher. (Also, InuYasha is pretty good. Probably the most famous work of Rumiko Takahashi)
InuYasha was the first manga I ever read, I highly recommend!! Prince of Tennis was also the first sports manga I read I and it started my love for sports manga! Definitely recommend as well!!!!
Inuyasha is super popular. I’m actually trying Hot Gimmick out because I’m trying out more shojo this year. A lot of people hate it because of the story line. Read volume 1, you’ll get an idea of the entire vibe from it! This was awesome !
InuYasha and getBackers are BANGERS, you also got some pretty good long running shojo manga like w-juliet and wildcard. Haven't read Prince of Tennis but I have only heard good things about it, plus tennis is an awesome sport.
My friend loves inuyasha & she recommended the anime & I ended up really enjoying it . Its basically a samurai who is half demon, half human & that brings a lot of swords fights
Finally someone with flowers of deep sleep besides me! It's only a 2 volume series and I bought both volumes because the cover art looked good. Haven't read it yet
Inuyasha is great, samurai deeper kyo is amazing, tactics is great, get backers is great, most of that box is shoujo jank, the kind where you read one you’ve read them all lmao.
CMX was a manga subdivision owned by DC comics way back in the day. They had a lot of great titles like Emma, Tenjo Tenghe, and Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne. They eventually went out of business.
👋🏼Hey RAIAN , I manage a comic store in the UK , we also sell manga and have about 2,500 issues in stock. All of those issues look a little older 5 - 10 years ++ i bet some of those are super out of print and worth a bit , maybe worth checking 💪🏼
There are so many random things lol, some I never heard about. Inuyasha is really popular and great classic. Shugo Chara is also popular, anime has well over 100 episodes, it's pure fantasy shoujo. Prince of Tennis is great, it's more on Kuroko no Basket's side though, with sexy cool boys and partly "magical" powers lol. Peach Girl is also pretty old and popular shoujo, having anime and some live action adaptations.
Dude, Get Backers is really fun definitely recommend checking that one out. Sadly it's incomplete in English so you'd have to read the rest online if you do get into it.
Inuyasha was the first anime I ever got into (I was like 9-10), it changed my life. I'm trying to slowly but surely get the omnibuses and read them. I watched Peach Girl in middle school, it's a more mature high school love story. I honestly wouldn't recc it to anyone, but it's def entertaining and dramatic so there's that.
Inuyasha is very special to me since I first read it and watched the anime in high school. It's most definitely worth it. There are 56 volumes of the manga (18, if you get the omnibus), 7 seasons, plus the final act and 4 movies.
Only advice is always read manga and dont dismiss anything. You are always susceptible to surprises with manga and it may be good GetBackers is a fucking classic
Majority of those are shoujo, I have read them in my high school days at the library. My fave shoujo was Peach girl, which is the smaller manga you received.
Wish I had an aunt like that. Very cool^^ here in brazil Inuyasha is being re-published in a collectors edition:D I really love the series so I do recomend:)
I’d actually recommend My Heavenly Hockey Club if you like comedy manga. The premise on the 1st volume makes it seem like it’ll be a typical shojo manga, but that’s not the case at all. It’s a comedy about stupid characters getting into the most absurd situations you can think of. There’re 8 volumes out there so I’d highly recommend it if you can find it for a good price. It’s a surprisingly good hidden gem.
Love to see stuff like this. Reminds me of finding a bunch of random older stuff at thrift stores and old comic shops. You never know what you’ll find.
I am OBSESSED with Inuyasha! I don’t have the manga, but I have watched the anime. It’s a romance and action/adventure series, and it has a lot of japanese history(?) (I forgot the actual word for it.) The art style in Inuyasha has always been one of my favorites too. Also Wild Act looks really good. I love all show-business related manga *cough cough Skip beat*. (Yes, I do really like shoujo.) The stellar six, forbidden dance, and peach girl also looks really fun. I have heard of them and they really drew me in (IF you like shoujo or josei, you’d like them)
Inuyasha is really popular and the anime is on Netflix. Prince of tennis is what got me into playing tennis in high school. Happy hustle high I read a long time ago and really liked it. Doubt was popular a long time ago. If you want any more info let me know
Mouryou Kiden is by a former member of CLAMP, so it might go for a bit with people who collect them. It's 3 volumes iirc. Agree with everyone about Inuyasha, classic. Prince of Tennis is a pretty standard sports manga, long running and very fun but starts to get repetitive in the later volumes. Rie Takada was pretty popular, H3 (Happy Hustle High) is probably her best but I don't know if it's aged well, especially with the quality of shoujo nowadays. DMP prints a lot of BL stuff, but they also printed a lot of Osamu Tezuka's backlog and the Vampire Hunter D manga.
Never have I heard of a manga collector not know much of something as iconic as inuyasha and mistake it for inuyashiki 😭 Been 10 months but hopefully you've read it and enjoyed it
Does anyone also have manga books they don't read or use anymore becuase I would love to have them we dont have manga were I live and I'm a broke teen that can't afford to pay so I would be very grateful for any response
I thought I have red a lot of Manga already but for some reason I don't know a single one of those Manga you got from your aunt probably except prince of tennis I haven't red the manga but I watched the anime
