The new World War I Deluxe Edition looks amazing and it's a must buy for me. I only played the original S&T version. But it was a really easy and fun game.

Another great video. You really did a very thorough job on ww1 games. As you said www2 does over shadow ww1. I have never played a block game but that twist looks cool.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the video on the best WW1 board games. It's true that WW2 often takes the spotlight, but WW1 has some hidden gems worth exploring. I'm glad I could introduce you to the concept of block games! I love them a lot, I don't know is it nostalgia, cause in childhood I played some cool block games or something else, like block related fog of war system... I just love them :) They indeed bring a unique twist to the gaming experience. If you ever decide to give them a try, I'd love to hear about your experience. I appreciate your support and engagement! By the way, if there are specific topics or types of games you'd like to see covered in future videos, let me know. I'm open to suggestions. Your feedback is invaluable, and I look forward to having you as part of our gaming community. Thanks again for watching, and I hope to see you in the next video!

Thanks for the rapid response! My special fascination is the years between the wars, but I do love a good WW1 game. And solo games are perfect for my current life. I have played just about every game about the Polish-Soviet War, as well as the German SouthEast Africa Campaign, and the Spanish Civil War too (the last has many, many games, most of them terrible LOL) I'll be following your channel closely, so thanks and keep up the great work!@@TheDiceTreasures

@@joeyj6808 It sounds like you've delved into some fascinating and less explored aspects of history and wargaming - the Polish-Soviet War, the German SouthEast Africa Campaign, and the Spanish Civil War are all intriguing settings. Your knowledge and experience in these areas are truly impressive, and I can totally relate to your sentiment about the abundance of not-so-great games on certain topics! It's always a bit of a treasure hunt to find those hidden gems. I'm often struggling to find gaming companions myself. So, then solo game is real helper. I'm really grateful for your support and enthusiasm for the channel. I'm excited about creating a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for history and board games. Your engagement and insights are invaluable. As I said, if you ever have specific topics or games you'd like to see covered on the channel, don't hesitate to let me know.

Thanks, friend, I will do that. I don't make a ton of $$, so I have to be careful with my game purchases these days. So I'm very grateful for channels like yours! Seeing a game being played, with an expert's review of it has saved me a lot of money over the past few years.@@TheDiceTreasures

Really enjoyed this video. A lot of the games I have not played but look very interesting. One game not on your list that is one of my favorite WW1 games is AH's Jutland. This game was the very 1st Wargames I ever bought. It is navel miniatures in a box. What like about it is its all Dreadnaughts no Aircraft. Not that I have anything against them but this is a slugfest of ships. Think it was the largest navel suface battle. Paths of Glory is one on your list I also love. I was at a gaming club meeting and got to meet Ted Racier the designer of POG and got him to sign my POG rulebook. What a thrill. If I know of anyone hoe is intrested in a WW1 game this is where I will send them.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! It's fantastic to hear that you enjoyed the video and discovered some new WW1 games that piqued your interest. AH's Jutland sounds like a hidden gem, and I appreciate you mentioning it. The idea of a naval slugfest with Dreadnaughts only does sound incredibly exciting. I can see why it holds a special place in your gaming heart. Meeting Ted Racier and having him sign your Paths of Glory rulebook must have been an amazing experience! Meeting the designer of a game you love is indeed a thrilling moment that adds a personal touch to the gaming experience. I'm really glad you found Paths of Glory on the list as well. It's a classic for a reason, and your endorsement only reinforces that. If you ever have more recommendations or stories to share about your gaming experiences, please feel free to do so. Your insights are invaluable to our community. I'm delighted to have you as a part of our community, and I hope you continue to find this content interesting and engaging. @@TheDiceTreasures Thank you for the reply. I would like to add. AH reissued Bismark while keeping the original game they added the Miniature rules from Jutland to make a WWII version. Ted Racier was very gracious to me and it is something I will always remember. I remember thinking it was the best WWI game I had played and one of the best period. I did not compare Jutland or Wings of Glory great games but did not want to compare steageic to tactical. I went to the Avalin Hill Co. in Baltimore and I bought Russian Campaign one of their newer release. I think it was in the late 1970's. Before you walked in on the left side was a gaming room. And the game Submarine (by Battleline) was bing play. I can't swear to it but I think Don Geenwood was playing. At the time I did not know what Mr Greenwood looked like. Anyway it caused me to but the Batteline game. I latter realized it was being test because Submarine was later released as a AH product. I also bout that. The big differrence between the game was Battleline took up a lot more space and the counters were nicer a lot thicker. But what the AH gave was a lot less space needed and a board instead of a paper map. Good games.

@@douglaspearson4853 Thank you for sharing those additional insights and stories. Your experiences with Avalon Hill's games is fascinating. Your memory of meeting Ted Racier and the impression it left on you is a testament to the personal connections that board gaming can create. I can only imagine how special it must have been. Your visit to the Avalon Hill Co. in Baltimore sounds like a true gaming pilgrimage! :) Witnessing a game of Submarine in action, possibly with Don Greenwood himself, must have been a memorable experience. It's must be interesting to see how games evolve and get tested before release. Your engagement with these games and your willingness to share these stories really enriches our community, and I'm grateful for that. It's evident that you have a deep passion for board gaming, and it's a pleasure to have you as a part of audience. I'll continue to create content that I hope you'll find enjoyable and informative. Have always liked WWI, but they don't seem to sell very well. There was a Verdun game back in the 70's that I always thought was outstanding. The interruptive rules were a drawback though, but once you figured it out it was bloody and fun. Cheers
