I agree with both. Its win or miss, it has to be more rare and more popular pieces, to keep value. For example, i had chocker from 2017 Cosmopolite collection, but not the one that in gold and Chanel written.that one was not so rare. I had in brushed gold with CC hanging . I saw that one very rarely. I worn it so much, and this year, i sold to Fashionphile, for almost the same price that i purchased for, i mean 6 years later, and used so much. Thats a win situation. But really pricey and more complicated pieces, with pearls and crystals, that was huge loss. I think more classic ones always keeps better value. Like their pearl longer classic necklaces, cc pieces, as brooches or earrings, but of course not all
