Even after all these years this is still the best inbounds skiing video on RU-vid. Watching someone truly rip their home mountain ski area is always really fun to watch and Marcus crushes a lot of great terrain at Snowbird in this video, including the groomers. Marcus, it’s time for ‘All Time 2.0’.
its kinda funny because he used to be a racer and it shows in his style, technique is at the forefront of everything he does. I used to be a racer and have a very similar style although not as good, the style is almost identicle
This is top level skiing, making beautiful carved turns! So tired of people jumping off 30' cliffs and going straight down the hill, acrobatics and gymnastics is cool but doesn't define skiing.
100% agreed. This is what I call ultimate skiing. Its not that all that jumping down into steep walls with a backflip wasnt impressive or difficult but ultimately it looks simple, or lets better say unrefined and brute compared to this. At least thats the case for me. This guy can SKI. He does it all. Beautifull carving, fluid and vivid moguling, impressive off piste skiing in rocky terrain and scattered deep snow. And from time to time just a big jump without any fancy acrobtics. And everything he does looks just so easy and fun. Damn I am a good skier myself but I wish I could just have like 20% of what he does.
Marcus - it is fun to have heroes in sports. I love you skiing and your sense of humor. Skiing is freedom of expression and we all express differently! C’mon Marcus let’s go back to Switzerland!
Jan yeah, people are confusing the best skiers with the ones who can throw a backflip in the park it seems like. It’s still impressive but the bumps are where you see someone’s control and balance put to the test imo
Cool bananas! I feel like I'm watching my own skiing here - the lines, the energy, the little nuances, and the love of a good carve. Now I've gotta wait 6 months until the local mountain opens again.
Marcus Caston, you have better skiing technique than Ted Lidety. Arc timing is accurate to a thousandth of a second. No skier in the world can do this nowadays.
You ask what video shows the bets of Snowbird, it's still this. It doesn't have to be powder, those sunny days where it's not fresh are some of the greatest you'll find anywhere. They'll be back soon.
IDK but I love riding like this @ 2:53 then this is SMOOTH...@ 3:08....I know the trees, pillows, pow yes I know...but man that open speed and glide then carve...MMMmmmmm
