Imagine the Qu in 40k, oh the grimdark

To be fair All tomorrows even though (i think) it's a short story, has so much potential for world building and plot lines, that's why there's a few videos on alternative endings for every kind of human which it's not bad but sometimes we just want a happier ending.

Koseman's stuff is what first got me into spec evo stories such as The Epic of Serina. All Yesterdays is another good story from Koseman.

As somebody who didn't find All Tomorrows all that horrifying, it's something of a wake-up call for me to see the reaction of somebody who isn't as desensitized to this kind of evolutionary horror

I'm very happy seeing another person react to this masterpiece. This video and the book as a whole is such an genuinely amazing experience that really makes you think and wonder.

Another less grim, more scientific look at evolution can be found in a series called "Alien Biospheres", it's a fascinating ground-up look at the evolution of an entire world.

I like this story more then anything 40k because has a ending that could say happy ending I unlike 40k where no matter what it is 40k still a 40k ending nothing ever changes overall.

I mean, it's not my personal cup of tea, but at the same time I can recognize a fucking (literally) masterpiece when I see it. 10/10 heresies in my book (also, it's a bit too late to complain about Strider when you literally posted this to your discord. Watching the beginning of this reminds me of all the times I passed it by and didn’t watch it besides being told to. I’m watching him say “I don’t know if it’s a documentary…” yeah that’s what I thought too. I’m just rocking back and forth “it’s not what you think…it’s not what you think…” watching with eyes wide, excited to see his world simultaneously crash with disgust but brighten with childlike wonder and intrigue and find his new obsession.

I highly suggest watching "All other tomorrows" which displayed the evolved forms of the species that went extinct
