If they make a 4th season, it should be about them recovering all of Snowpiercer's lost or destroyed cars as well as rerailing Big Alice and recovering its 3 lost cars.
Well Melanie Cavill, they can’t. Because in the final episode of S3, Big Alice destroys the bridge as she makes way to the new eden, so they are now stuck there.
It's actually because it's doing the opposite here. When Snowpiercer was standing still in this scene there was nowhere to use the energy the engine was building up (since they ether didn't want to risk, or didn't know how to turn it off), so the whole train was overheating. It's one of the reasons the train was forced to start moving again a while later just to run off-some energy. They did try to vent it beforehand to prolong their stay, but to do that they need to expel super-heated steam, and they don't want to waste it when they don't really need to.
Kinda small you know? For a track scaler. It’s amazing that Melanie can survive in that small vehicle for 3 months. I thought it would be huge as Snowpiercer itself because it also clearing the tracks, just like Icebreaker. Icebreaker literally a maintenance plus clearing train, clearing the tracks for Snowpiercer according to the novels.
@@alysyafiq215 so that mean track scaler or icebreaker is scrapping ice on the track so any eternal engine aint going to get derailed by a litteral small ice on the track Meanwhile Snowpiercer/Big alice Cleaning the snow out of the way for track scaler/Icebreaker to scrape the ice what a good teamwork to survive together
@@R-Thuristic All I’m saying is it’s amazing that Melanie can survive in a small vehicle that is the size of a car for 3 months. I thought that track scaler would be the size of Snowpiercer because it’s rolling on the same gauge as Snowpiercer and also can move to a normal gauge. In the novels, Snowpiercer is the size of a normal locomotive like in the movie. Icebreaker on the other hand is huge as Snowpiercer in the series. So it’s kinda make sense for the novels for the different size they are that Icebreaker clearing the tracks for Snowpiercer and other eternal engines moving around the world. because Snowpiercer cannot break through huge chunk of ice in the middle of the tracks when she starts moving around the world. After all, before the Freeze, Snowpiercer is originally a cruise liner going around the world, so they have to bulid these clearing trains to clear the tracks for Snowpiercer to make sure she’s moving smoothly around the world without damaging the train. When the Freeze came, Icebreaker works as a clearing train to clear the tracks for huge debris but it went rogue and finally destroyed Snowpiercer and took it’s eternal engine. So I thought the track scaler would be the same size as Snowpiercer/Big Alice because these two trains are huge and she could scraped all the ice and snow building up on the tracks but it seems not be needed anyway because these two trains already can act as Icebreakers itself because of their sheer size and they can clear the tracks off snow and ice easily. So that little track scaler is maybe clearing tracks for smaller trains plus maintaining the tracks.
4:33, looks like the small train melany was on got power from things on the side of the track (probably charged by snowpiercer, like the switches). Because of the suspension fluid on board I think these were meant to be some kind of life boats (but in train format). there were meant to be (or are more) trains and in an emergency some important people could escape their train and try to get to another one.
Maybe from another Snowpiercer... Would have bien interesting, but no, let's focus on dumb stuff like those useless love story and this stupid cuban episode
They were track maintenance vehicles that were small and cheap and could be used for long journeys to remote areas where track checkups were needed before the freeze came. Mellanie just used one as a lifeboat together with the resources she had left from the research base.
Very good, but disappointed that you didn't include the whistle scene. It showed a beautiful exterior shot when the whistle blew, and even if there was no exterior shot you still should have included it as it is a big moment including the train.
You missed the scene where Javi is in the cab of Big Alice and Snowpiercer rushes by, it was so awesome, also I don’t agree with the description, I certainly care about every single train scene as it interests me so much. Exceptions of the rules should also be made with like I said when Javi sees Snowpiercer rush by because that scene was just so cool and it certainly matters
@@HallimarRathlornStudios there’s several scenes you left out that are longer than 2 seconds and aren’t filmed through glass or anything like that though…
@@supergun_201 so what about the whole concept of the train? incase of any failures towards Snowpiercer it would hold spare parts for the freeze and run as a supply train. If they knew it was operational they could have retro fitted everything needed for the scientists when they had the argument in the night car Unless they didn’t have enough time ?
@@Shadow-wr2sv Snowpiercer was the sucessful eternal engine from before the freeze. Big Alice was the prototype of the eternal engine that they didn't know if it would work or not, still before the freeze. When it was clear that the freeze was coming, Snowpiercer was retrofired first, even as late as during the first episode of the show where they are still fixing thing up before official departure. Big Alice was not publically meant to roll around alongside Snowpiercer. When Mellanie abandoned Willford after departing with Snowpeircer prematurely, Wilford does his best to get Big Alice ready for the freeze no matter if the engine works or not (which it ends up doing). However, during the years between departure and the 2 trains meeting, Big Alice runs short on supplies, since it has no significant means of food production (another reason it was seconded for retrofitting as opposed to Snowpiercer). In the show we hear that Wilford culls a lot of Big Alice's population in order to survive until they can get back in contact with snowpiercer, and even then, we find out that they are dangerously low on food. The reason Big Alice wasn't just attached to Snowpiercer at the start was (again), because they didn't know of the engine would work. Had Big Allice failed and Snowpiercer been forced to pull all the cars, then the journey would have become significantly more dangerous every time they came in contact with an incline. Because (as stated in the show), Snowpiercer has less torque than Big Alice. A small but mentionable fact is also that the immmediate abandonement of 40 cars had Big Alice failed on departure would have been terrible for morale.
@@ZETH_27 the snowpiercer have more torque but its engine is not powerful as big alice. Big alice fast but not very strong thats why the train without snowpiercers engine was cold. Big alice didnt have enough torque to push it fast enough to make enough heat
After i watched season 3 episode 1 or 3 can't remember snowpircer over heating issues never made much sense to me because of how cold it is on its exterior
Snowpiercer exerts about as much power as some of the most powerful nuclear reactors, which all get to around 800 C, which is about the same as the average campfire. In Antarctica, the average temperatures in winter can get as low as -100 C, which is pretty close to how cold it is in the Snowpiercer universe. So, you're in Antarctica. It's cold as fuck, but you've got a campfire right in front of you. Do you throw your phone into the fire? Why not? It's not as though the intense heat would melt the sensitive electronics. After you've thrown your phone into the fire, let's put your bare hand in there next. Why not? The air should be cold enough to stop the fire from cooking your hand. My point here is that cold air is never enough to protect humans and sensitive electronic equipment from intense heat. Things can only get so cold. Absolute zero. There is no limit to how hot things can get. There is no absolute hot.
@@FogStranger The soundtrack for Snowpiercer as well as all it's themes are still unreleased. I really hope they release them officially soon because I want to listen to the theme of Season 1 (the best theme IMO), but so far the best I can do is listen to poorly cut clips on RU-vid.
@@ZETH_27 🤞I hope as well. I started to watch that film spontaneously but now I'm a fan of all that staff. The whole work that they did - plot, actors, score and the train performance.
