The Galaxy Railways has to be one the best animes I’ve ever seen. It was my childhood. I really hope they do something special next year for its 20th anniversary. I hope we see a 4k or even HD dvd or blu ray transfer of season 2 released in the states. With all episodes. I love this series so much.
3:02 This, IS, BEAUTIFUL the way you introduced Big One like this. He is pretty much the protector of other planets and the Space Defense Force of Galaxy Railways.
I also like how engine 707 was at 2:31 and also 707 got derailed by asteroids in episode 1 of season 1 but it is really cool that the train is now back in season 2
that blue train that is near the flame swalow looks like a recolor with slight modifications ... the Galaxy raliways made the same train but with a different color and slight changes?
The SDF has a lot more platoons then we give it credit for in SDF in a dire pinch part 2 we see a huge amount of SDF personnel in groups based off their platoon there’s a lot here’s a clip: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hHUFlbSpLnQ.html For all we know Hiryu and Big one are classes too. Iron Berger probably has member of its class still around.
@@parkertitle1923 a lot of the trains (especially in bulk platoon scenes) are just copy-paste models with recolors because its really easy to do with 3d assets. in the same scene OP is talking about, on the right side of the screen you can see an orange recolor of flame swallow and a yellow recolor of white horn just before the scene fades out.
@@zayyanhakim747 860 doesnt produce steam, thats what hes talking about. only 999 and big one actually emits steam, even though its completely aesthetic and serves no functional purpose.
Hey it does! Also i made up a theory that some of the trains in this anime like big one and flame swallow are locomotive classes which kinda explain why the two trains on the top left at 0:24 kinda looks like flame swallow
Well i came in here bc i want to see my childhood anime but at child i even don't know anime but bc this anime now i miss my old days when i like trains thx for the film galaxy railways i love this anime forever even im not a kid and i just like military stuff but this still a good anime thx galaxy railways i hope some game collab whit you alr that all Thx galaxy railways i like you film thx for make my chilhood happy :)
what to do when bored: find whatever the fuck the guy who made some of these banger space anime in the 80's like seriously from pirates, battleships to trains all in space... ngl all of em are pretty good
If I had to give it my best guess this would be like an electric plasma fuel cell similar to what you see the covenant in halo series or a nuclear fusion reactor used by the humans or a combination of both technologies would make the most sense to me -due to the size of the engines on the trains and the train power up and takeoff scenes -when the main battery fires the blue blasts it seems to have a liquid plasma type of look to it -the powertrain on the wheels of the trains when engaged for takeoff or landing look to have an electro-magnetic power to it similar to the Japanese Bullet train , In a very quick glance but i could keep going TBH.
First off none of the trains have tenders in the context of our world. Here’s how big one’s arranged: (locomotive)-(control car)-(some carriages)-(main battery unit)-(some more carriages). The SDF trains need a dedicated control car so they can coordinate their guns in an effective manner. The GRS trains don’t need a dedicated control carriage. In fact there are more GRS trains that don’t have control coaches than trains that do. The GRS trains have a lot of automation and when it comes to a civilian train you only need one person. One, person/robot/artificial intelligence whatever one to drive and thats it.
@@parkertitle1923 some of the trains have functioning tenders. 999 for example keeps its fuel stored in the tender and the atomic boiler is fed via a conveyor system underneath the floor (explained by the conductor). however i personally believe that this method is deemed "outdated" for maintenance reasons and thus such trains are effectively phased out for better cost effective fuel storage systems that doesnt require them. it could explain why 720 doesnt have a tender but 721 does (because you always start with the oldest units first and work your way up when doing fleet overhauls). because trains like the 444, 860, and 888 also have tenders which you could probably assume are used for the same purpose.
@@thatonecaledonian812 i know what episode youre talking about. and thats not the same episode this scene is specifically from. when they dispatch the super ambulance to assist here they identified the train as 860. however what we could be looking at is a simple case of trains that have different numbers depending on the route they take. the locomotive itself has no number, as evident by the blank tender. so 805 and 860 can possibly be indicative of the train route and not the locomotive itself. OR, even lazier approach, its 2 different trains entirely and the developers simply reused the same 3d assets, which was done frequently throughout this franchise.
Big One is based off the Union Pacific Big Boy and they painted the smoke box white and heavily modified it in this season by giving it high tech features and a more aerodynamic design. Season one has more of a traditional look except the added headlamp on top and a golden rod on the side. It’s a more streamlined version of the big boy.
@@TheGalaxyRailways its not that. big one always only had 1 fighter coach, even long before receiving the cosmo matrix cannon. different platoons had different train sets depending on their utilization within the SDF. spica platoon (flame swallow) specializes in gathering data/intel and performing reconnaissance missions where analysis is critical. they are not equipped as a fighting platoon, and thus their train set doesnt have a fighter coach at all. while on the opposite end, vega platoon (iron berger) was a frontline defense platoon that specialized in long range artillery. iron berger itself had matrix cannon built into the boiler, while their train set (last 3 cars) had a sub-atomic warp cannon. they also had a complete second train set which consisted of 1 fighter coach, 2 gustav cannons, and then the 3 coaches housing the warp cannon. now sirius platoon (big one) is meant to be a universal/all-rounder type platoon, as they do intel gathering, engage in battles, scouting, escort, rescue operations, etc. and the 1 detail that is consistent between all SDF/GRS trains is that they have 10 cars per train set. big one doesnt have more fighter coaches in its train set because it cant without sacrificing one of the existing cars. big ones train set consists of coach (crew quarters/infirmary), passenger coaches 1-3(for rescue operations), fighter coach, passenger coaches 4 and 5( same as 1-3), deep space fighter coaches 1 and 2(intel gathering and fighting other small craft), and observation coach (unknown utlization). and i know one of the simple things would be "just get rid of one of the passenger coaches" but that puts on unnecessary strain. because you gotta remember since they perform rescue operations, you would have to fit 10 passenger cars worth of people into half that. and taking away a car for an additional fighter coach wouldnt help.
@@parkertitle1923 peoblem with that is theres 11 coaches on big zero,5 main batter coach,5 fighter coash and 1( it actually 3 coashes mounted into 1)domain cannon coach, but since somebody claim that there created it from spg department(or just finding excuse to ruin the sdf),so basicilly it was build, then got nicked by space pirate by a spy calling the for the job.
@@parkertitle1923 come to think of it atleast flame swallow doesn't need a gun coach since his gun is behind the locomotive or should i say *INSIDE* the locomotive
