So a virus that caused riots and destruction of buildings has forced scientists to create a molecular entity that gained its own purpose of taking over hosts, and then a power failure wakes the main character, who tries to not become one of them. It won't matter what this stuff is, pudding, latex, goo, doesn't matter, the character will not allow themself to become one of them, then later on meets one of the creatures that has a higher intelligence then the rest of its species. 3/5 perfect plot.
