I love how you think that the composer didn't intentionally add most, if not all, of these musical nods; given that the non-secret songs of this mod are all based on a popular* creepypasta that itself is based on the franchise most of the musical nods come from, and the one that isn't is based on a breakout hit of a secret song from the previous version. * = Sonic.EXE might be popular in an ironic sense; but it's still popular.
I know why (Get ready for some music math) So basically, you couldent hear it that good. Because it’s in a different melody you have to shift to the E# to hear Chemical Plant Zone. So that part is at a F# welcome.
Gotta say, Knuckles’ is near SEAMLESS. Eggman I found instantly and Tails was easy to figure out after a couple listens, but Knuckles, I BARELY got his.
tails' was the one i had trouble getting unknown from m.e. is too iconic to me for me to not have gotten it, and the sonic 2 boss theme pops out when it happens, but chemical plant zone was hard to pick out due to certain stuff such as there being three notes at the start when normally there's two, and one bit going down rather than up.
I got his in 2 seconds after my first time hearing it. Also there are 2 references you know. I knew this video wouldent get it but I'm a fan of jojo so gotta point it out as a jojo REFRENCE.
A couple additions I should mention: Right before Unknown from M.E., if you pay attention to the instrumental, you can hear the saxophone solo segment from Il Vento D'oro, from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. On top of that, Eggman's design is based on how he appears in Sonic PC Port. You can even hear another Endless motif at the same time as the motif you pointed out, and right before that segment you can hear a bit of You Can't Run.
Its interesting robotnik, at least in pc port is seemingly undamaged. Here hes fucked up bad, as others have pointed out, likely causing much trouble for sonic.exe. His wits and intelligence allowing him to escape time and time again, while damaging .exe
This is awesome! I caught most of these on my first few listens, but I have no idea how I missed the Chemical Plant and Unknown From M.E. ones. Thanks for making this!
@@Arkade21 it actually does a lot naturally at first you gotta search for it but when you finally find the beats it sounds pretty clear the only thing that can throw you off is the long right note tails does as it is a completely different pitch and tone from the rest of the notes tails does during that part
Finally someone who gets the references there’s so many that just skip the actual sonic references because most of the people in the fnf community no nothing about sonic
I haven’t seen any of these videos people are talking about, but they sound really annoying to watch if you actually know a single thing about Sonic. So I’m glad I didn’t.
Sonic 2 Boss was easily recognizable, Unknown from M.E. was noticable when I heard the background. Somehow Chemical Plant Zone was something I didn't recognize until after the 4th time listening.
I find it interesting that BF uses one of Majins note motifs in his fight against .exe Kinda feels like bf was using either experience from fighting him or even getting help (If we run through the more light hearted side of Majin being a playful misunderstood trickster who just takes things to far sometimes and not his .exe creepypasta form,)
@@shaggster_3116 In lore from some sonic.exe creepypastas majin does protect sonics mind but more like a passive aggressive protector because he'll stop you from being able to take sonic over but explain the "rules" on how to do it. As if he doesn't like guarding sonic. In my own personal headcanon for one version of him I take it as a loki/Discord like entity who just likes having fun but was banished to an infinite forest by other demons because they grew tired of him and he because he wasn't willing to kill or hurt people and was actually nice to mortals (Think batmite from DC comics who isn't evil, just a bit childish with a ton of power,) The reason he looks so creepy is because of isolation and copying himself to have playmates with others becoming majins simply because of his unconscious rampant psyche in his prison but ultimately doesn't mean any harm and is just lonely and does it by mistake.
@@deltagearadvanced5140 Majin Sonic is not connected to Sonic.EXE, everybody think Majin is Guardian Of Sonic mind because of Spirit Of Hell, but in the original game, there is no Majin anywhere..
I heard that Eggman's voice is actually Alfred from Snapcube's but heavily edited so now we have to know if the voice samples are from *that* hilarious scene.
This mod impressed me fully with the special mechanics, and how triple trouble is the coolest in terms of messages too. Eggman quite literally forces his way into the song while boyfriend is singing and laughs at Sonic.exe when he fails to take back control halfway through his section.
@@deez_nuits6844 actually yeah because with chemical plant you can hear tails and the instrumental but with unknown from m.e you vent heat knuckles but you can hear the instrumental
I mean, one is a different key of the sonic drowning theme and one is a heavily distorded one filled with static so, their kinda different in their own right, still the drowing theme tho
I see everyone saying Tails, Knuckles and Eggman.exe are from PC port, but everybody apparently forgot the same images in the original game and the full body versions in Sally.exe
I need to clarify, the desings this guy used in 0:10 1:06 1:28 are from sonic exe The spirits of hell and the sequel of that game called sally exe The whisper of soul
People like you who actually know the references and are not intense FNF fans that point out references that aren't even references fill me with great joy
Another thing that may or may not have been mentioned in the comments, before xenophane sonic songs the endless part at the final part, they sing the double notes from you can't run
Triple trouble has become like a final boss song to the whole sonic game, or something. Also you forget some references relating to other sonic.exe songs. In sonic's act 3 there is a you can't run reference
For the longest time I thought the last part of Xeno’s section was referencing the reverse version of Hill Act 1 (which I personally feel would’ve worked much better than Endless honestly)
A refrence to knuckles is how he has scars near his eyes, which actually refrences in a anime where he's injured by getting cut in the eye with a stake
