People forget that their debut song wasn’t a hit at first, but slowly got more popular maybe a month or two after, then exploded because of the Tzuyu Taiwan flag incident. Then they released Cheer Up and the rest was history
The fact that they were able to do 9 different versions shows you how much twice had to promote their songs back in the day.. these days we’re lucky to get a full week of promotions on music shows
back then, the average periode of time for idols performing their song in music show was about 1 month. Even Momoland did Bboom Bboom for around 3 months. But i believe SM artist only did their 2 weeks promotion on MuShow, and YG artist rarely did MuShow back then (just like right now)
There were different dance versions of Likey on this tour. Each venue in the USA got a different version. Just in case you weren't aware or didn't notice. At Sofi, Jihyo replaced Momo's dance break in Likey with her own dance. At other venues, other members stepped in for Momo's dancing part in Likey with their own dance, that was presumably improvised and venue specific. Although I personally just wanted to see Momo dance her dancing part in Likey because that's one of the things I look forward to, every tour. Nobody does it better than Momo.
@@k-popfanmoon9485 I came down here to the comments to say this, and found you already said it 2 months ago. 😭 On the other hand, at least we both know the best parts when we see it. 😅
For sure, and to think that people in Korea voted her out of Twice and she left the stage bawling her eyes out, only to have the size of the group expanded at the last minute to include Momo. J.Y. Park with the clutch, best decision ever, to override the fan vote. Produce 101 / I.O.I. was formed entirely by fan votes and what a train wreck that ended up becoming, didn't last long, even with J.Y.Park personally going out of his way trying to help them with great songs like "Very, Very, Very"
@@Sidicasgroup formed on produce 101 (ioi) has a contract for short duration (one year if I'm not wrong). If ioi and izone were a permanent group like twice, they would have probably be more famous. Also produce groups are rigged so it's not just fan votes. Some members are added by rigging based on their talent and image.
Imma rank them imo 1. Momo (kinda obvious but it was so smooth I loved it) 2. Mina (shes so flexiblee) 3. Tzuyu (it was very cute soo..) 4. Jeongyeon (she ate tbh) 5. Sana V1 (She finally got her flexible era 🫶🏼) 6. Jihyo V2 (It was just rlly good and the three other members helping her was a bonus as well) 7. Momo & Sana (It was really cute) 8. Chaeyoung (I liked when she tapped her head on "think about it" lol it was clever) 9. Jihyo V1 (I liked the hair flip and it was fun to watch) 10. Nayeon (she slayed that I loved her smile afterwards) 11. Dahyun (It was close but I still loved hers a lot especially the heart signal she made) THEY ALL DID GREAT BTW SO DONT TAKE THIS TOO SERIOUSLY LOL
Seeing Jeongyeon like this kind of hurts, she hit so different in this era and got sort of relegated to "tomboy" concept after, wish they'd kept this kind of concept
they are so amazing for doing this in their debut song! ❤ i feel like it's hard to see kpop groups who do fun stuff like this on their debut era (idk if i just haven't seen it and it actually does happen) anyways, i love jeongyeon's and momo×sana's the most ✨️ they're so iconic!
There's a performance where they do a dance break altogether. They're wearing cheerdance outfits. But anyways, my favorite is Jeongyeon's. She slayed. ❤
of course Momo will always be the most iconic, but I love Sana and Tzuyu's versions. Sana's solo version catches my attention because in the music video she acts like a not very flexible person and suddenly she is able to lift her leg completely even while standing. As for Tzuyu, I like the way she swings her arms in time with the music and ends it with a strong gesture, it looks so harmonious.
