0:59 this is brilliant. The move makes Thor's hammer into how it was actually supposed to be in the mythology. His hammer was supposed to be a 2 handed warhammer but iirc Loki or someone else messed with the dwarves forging it, they were each making one half so had to shorten it.
@@hannyagargola8059 In the very first Shin Megami Tensei when you encounter Alice she's accompanied by Nebiros and Belial, calling them "Uncle Red" and "Uncle Black". They are disguised as the Red Baron and Black Count, therefore the names. If I remember correctly the two demons met Alice when she was alive; but she passed away at a young age. The two demons really liked her and therefore used their magic to bring her back to life; leading to her becoming so powerful. The two essentially served as her two father figures and took care of her. It's kinda sweet in a way. She also asks if you can "die for her"; which is where her signature skill comes from. She basically wishes for you to die so that you can play with her for all eternity in the afterlife. The game is honestly pretty good, even if it hasn't aged well at all in terms of gameplay, the story and lore is still there.
I love this so much because it just fuels the game with personality and makes you feel like you really are interacting with the world's myths, faiths and legends. It's like showtime attacks in P5 but for the demons itself as they are the main attraction in mainline.
@@RealLifeIronMan Pretty much every mythological system has some incest in it. Most of the time, it's in the gods, but even monotheistic systems like Judaism has Moab and Ammon's parentage. But from Japan to Africa to Greece to Sweden, mythology is LOADED with gods having kids with their siblings, children, etc. It's usually okay for gods to do, but bad for mortals, however. See: the tale of Sigfried.

I got very surprised by the four Onis getting a skill together! Very cool Thor and Odin's are very cool, glad they give a little spotlight in Vengeance I wish they gave the Moirai Sisters a Magatsuhi skill, that would be really nice

Personally, I think its stupid that you need the demons in the party/stock just to activate the skill. Much would have perfered to have only need 1 demon in the party as the rest could be summoned
Man the Metatron and Sandalphon one could have been very useful to me for grinding Somas for the final boss, Wish I knew about it sooner Also finding out via the comments that Alice considers Nebiros and Belial as her uncles and that their attack is a SMT 1 reference was really cool, sucks that I never unlocked that attack since Belial never became available to fuse
when building a party, and you check the skill, is there a way to know the requisites? the icon shows a red "demon head" but I'm not sure how to get the info except when you get the talisman, (or checking the talismans again, pretty inconvenient.)
@@hyperten5906 yeah, but hours later, when I'm building my team is quite inconvenient not being able to see which ones are needed. I use the steam text thingy and have there listed, but I think that info should be shown in-game.
@@txorimalo well in the menu, check key items and check the peripets or whatever, and itll give you like a vague hint on who they are, other then that i dont think theres any way to check
Could I point out just how cracked the Overheal Values are for Harvest Festival and Fairies' Game? 1.75x and 2.25x respectively. Compare that to the Overheal Values for Bowl of Hygieia and Eleusinian Harvest, being 1.3x. I can definitely see some wacky tank strats happening with these.
Cerberus Chimera Hydra And Orthrus is so funny cos theyre clearly grouped together for all havibg miltiple heads in mythology, but half of them dont in SMT. It looks so weird!
Raging Whirlwind is probably the best of the elemental pierce/attack and defense debuff combo skill, since they only require two demons, which are usable around the level they're obtained, and both of their inmate skills support each other. I'm not sure if I want four fire demons taking up my slots.
I actually have recorded all unique demon and boss skills, but then I found out Lucifer has like 10 unique skills I dont feel like going through that fight to see all of them😵💫
@@FazPersona yeah I just beat the game today and some bosses have skills that aren't marked as unique in the in game descriptions but have unique animations which really confused me
Wow all these Magatsuhi skills look incredible. Atlus must've put a lot of effort into making them look so good. Too bad I'm just gonna pick Magatsuhi: Critical every single time.
Step 1: have Idun in your party, step 2: reach taito area and she should have a quest marker in the demon haunt, step 3: accept quest, fuse Loki and bring idun and him o the pond, this will trigger a thor fight, step 4: defeat pushover thor and get some kinda talisman and the ability to fuse him
@@brandoncherry6264 He kidnapped and married his niece. He also might have possibly forced himself on her in older renditions. Oh and he also cheated on her with Minthe, but then again she cheated on him with Adonis before/after ( I don't know the timeline on that one)

The title of the painting, "The R*** of Persephone" (censored because RU-vid), refers to the old version of the term which means "to snatch," or "to take," referring to his kidnapping of her. And while Demeter was upset, by the standards of the time, Hades went through the proper channels. He asked Zeus's permission, and he agreed. Demeter's, or Persephone's for that matter, consent wasn't needed. That's still obviously awful, but Zeus was terrible even for his time, while Hades is terrible in our modern context (since we agree that women's consent to marriage actually matters).
@@hyperten5906the 4 Oni one, the 4 Divine Kings, the 4 Guardian Beasts, the Children of Scylla (Orthrus, Cerberus, Chimera, and Hydra), the Archangels, and the Quadistu all use 4. The only condition is having all the required demons available and at least 1 in the active party. The others can be in the stock, but so long as they ain't outta HP and you have the Peripitaph for it, you can use these lil group Omagatsuki skills.

That seems worse than just omagatoki critical though. That one gives you basically the full 8 turns automatically while being the first skill you have. I barely find a reason to use something else. Omnipotence sometimes as well, which let's you use the last skill 4 times in a row.
@@DrDank You only get 1 extra press turn so at max you get 10 turns with this skill active and dagda and danu have to be in the active party so your options are limited already.
IT restores your press turns to how they're at the start of the turn,so you'd have your 4 press turns back. Which means you could have 16 turns in a row@@brotbrotsen1100
@@brotbrotsen1100no, it returns your press turns back to the beginning of the turn, so you’d get 4 normal turns again. The reason why it only gave 1 is that they only had 3 demons out. Also Periapts only need 1 of the required Demons out while the rest is in your party. Danu is an endgame healer, so she isn’t a wasted slot. With the above, this means you get 7 attacks, use the Omagatoki, then get 8 more attacks. This is if you are going for offensive press turn usage.

Some combinations I think would’ve been perfect All the Tengus Yoshitsune, Siegfried, Fionn & Okunninushi Loki, Fafnir, Surt and Fafnir Gremlin & Poltergeist Abdiel, Camael, & Masterma Belphgor, Belial, Bernith & Beelzebub (Considering that they’re all Bels) Shiva and Vishnu (Destruction and Creation) Asura and Atavaka The Moriae Sisters Flauros and Ose (A reference to them sometimes being paired together in fights) Cybele, Ishtar, Attis and Lahmu Idun, Demeter and Parvati (They’re all healers) Moloch and Mithra (A Reference to Strange Journey) Dis and Norn Cherub, Dominion, Throne, Principality and Power

@@DeusX121 Power and Daemon are technically both of Greek Origin. The second one probably because all 4 sword masters and seeing them unleash a powerful sword team up attack. Plus I would’ve loved to see a skill involving all the Bels. Poltergeist and Gremlin probably because they are both mischief makers.
I'm honestly baffled the Moriae sisters didn't get one. Seems like such an obvious pick, but I guess the three getting super good passive skill effects if all three are present was enough
Miss opportunity to give Nahobino a combo set with Susunoo allies. Hell, could have Nahobino and Amazoko have a dou a ttack where they both combin their magic to summon a Severe Ruinous Thunder with pierce and debuff, for one turn, skill. Just to show that these two are canonically best friends.
So a few more they could have done. 1. Affect the moon to change to New Moon or Full Moon. 2. Subjugate non-boss enemies to surrender. Then you go through each one to demand tributes (macca/items) or joining. The battle ends once you've gone through all the enemies.
The Konohana Sakuya - Oyamatsumi combo is pretty great. It got me through the Demi-Fiend fight since full buffs, heal and restoring MP without wasting an action as well as stacking with Bowl of Hygieia can keep you in the fight longer.
so I unlocked that one yesterday and didn't have Oyamatsumi unlocked, it took me an hour to learn that he was a quest unlock in CoC and you had to do a fight in the simulator to unlock him in CoV because I hadn't did anything there
