Only wader review I trust 100% ☝️ I have some cabelas neoprene waders that have held up remarkably well. Had them 3 years now and have used them hard. Not rock hopping or trucking 4 miles a night.. but I’ve used them for early and late season surf fishing, early/late trout river wading, and chasing swamp donkey during deer season. Only had to repair once and it was my own fault.. pierced by an unseen broken branch while wading Waist high marsh. Other than that, still 100%. I’m in the market now for some warmer weather wader’s now though and i was actually already zeroing in on the two wader options you mention. Helped me know I’m headed in the right direction. Thanks Bill 🤘

My stocking foot with good korkers have no issues getting sand in boots you have to make sure you put the wader snap down over the boots ! I fish everynight of the season

another issue is at 76 with arthritis, putting on and taking off stocking footed waders and then putting on the wading shoes is very difficult. Boot footed waders are more manageable.

The Cabelas waders last for about 2 good years, 4 runs. The seams then start to fail, so Gorilla glue works for short term fixes. But when these suckers start to go, you just bring them into the store and exchange for new ones

Been through eight pairs of expensive Simms and they all leaked like a sieve after only one season. Get $200 waders like the Compass waders and apply permatex ultra black to the neoprene feet.

I’ve got the LL BEAN duck hunting boot waders. Used them the past 2 years. No leaks yet. Def worth the money. As far as the stocking foot waders I have, I went through 6 pairs alone last season. I have a brand new pair I used the last week of the season and they already leak. Thanks for the video bill !! Keep it up

Tip for breathable waders with neoprene stocking foot: Premptively coat the neoprene feet with Permatex ultra black. Use one tube per foot and coat the seams good. Will make your waders last a long time. Would never wear boots on the beach or surf. Always wear surf sandals. Best Ive tried are Swiss Tech in size 13. Also preemptively coat the straps with ultra black. IMHO dont waste your money on Simms.

I have been through many pairs of waders and by far the best set of waders I have used are the Simms g3. American made, gortex & seams on front of the leg. So far the absolute best I've used and worth the money

In the 80's I bought one of the first pair of Ranger Neoprene waders they had a lifetime guarantee, lasted a month and half crotch blew out tackle shop sent them back.He got a call saying the soles were too worn to give me a new pair .He. told them these guys fish every day or night .I got the new pair next year they gave a limited warranty .The new waders lasted one season same problem.I miss those old redballs.

This small company out of Washington called Dryft makes some solid ass waders. They’ve got everything you’d find on a pair of $800 G3 Simms for half the price. YKK zipper that goes low enough for you to release the kraken on the rocks.

Eddie Terribile So Eddie I got the Primos as well and fished the Cape Cod canal which is some pretty shit terrain as well as the surf (wading boulder fields, walking through the woods to get to spots) with them all last season (5-6 days or nights a week) and have nothing but good things to say about them. One of my fishing partners got the Session pants for the Canal and loves them. No affiliations or anything with the company. I hope they serve you as well as they have me.

Swiss tech sandals are $29 online. Why spend big money? Been using these for three seasons but again, preemptively use permatex ultra black on the back side of the straps.

I don't know if this is a helpful tip because you have waaaay more experience than me. But since you use Bootfoot you should put ankle braces for the ankle support.
