I honestly still can’t decide what my favorite Wanda sequence is. I love her talk with Dr Strange, I love her destroying Kamar Taj just showing she ain’t fucking around, the dream walking sequence like ugh the music is amazing, Wanda Vs the Illuminati, pretty much all her screentime. I love her as a villain she’s so intimidating and powerful with a motive I can understand.
When the harbinger of Chaos learns that she hurt even herself to get her kids. This is when the Witch realizes she had Wanda burried deep down within herself.
GOD LOVES YOU. GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU. CHRIST IS COMING SOON . GLORY TO GOD . JESUS LORD IS THE BEST WAY IN THIS LIFE, LIFE THANKS TO HIM. AMEN. BLESSED BE ISRAEL, PEOPLE OF GOD. GOD WILL JUST JUDGE HUMANITY. AMEN💖
@Quiltx bruh u didn't undersood the context of the comment... The op probably meant less than strange cause it's his movie but Wanda was still talk of town
it's funny how she looks younger without the makeup and the outfit. With them on, she looks like a mom, which is ironic because mom Wanda looks like Wanda from the first movies like Ultron and Endgame, who is younger.
Seeing Scarlet Witch being as powerful as she was meant to be was worth the wait and that they couldn't stop her and that she had to stop herself, so perfect
Exactly. The only thing stopping her was herself. and watching Elizabeth Olsen just CHEW the scenery like that was so good. It's such an intense contrast to her in interviews. She really got to flex her acting skills.
Marvel understands how to develop a villain and make them relatable. It's not always plain black and white. I understood Wanda this whole movie and it moved me so much.
The plot annoyed me so much though! They keep going on with this narrative that there is an "infinite" amount of universe, yet the plot always pick a reality where Tommy and Billy have a mother. If there is truly an infinite universes out there, FOR SURE there is a reality where the kids are alone and Wanda is gone. A reality where a Wanda can go and replace with.
@@thaturi did you miss the part in the movie where it says that anyone who enters a universe that is not their own can cause its reality to destabilize and break apart?
6:08-6:10 is the funniest part. You got the big crazy eyes, then the evil smile, then the little head shaking along with that playful and defiant "mm-mm", then the complete psycho face, then out of absolutely nowhere... *POW!* Right in the kisser! 🤣🤣
Lizzie Olsen sells this character incredibly well. There's something very satisfying about just watching her move, float around, cast spells... do whatever, honestly. I'd personally still watch a movie with no other characters nor any plot at all, just having Scarlet Witch be there, doing all sorts of regular things in her Scarlet Witch-y manner. :)) I'm aware that it wouldn't actually work, but I'm just saying... I totally would watch something like that. But seriously, they should give us a MCU based Scarlet Witch game or something, with next gen graphics at some point imo. :D
Same, I've loved her as a character an her power since she first showed up on the screen. Little me found the red magic so fascinating and I loved that she was kinda just chaotic netrual there, gives me a sense of nostalgia to see her be less of a hero and definitely more a villain in this movie
This is the only movie where the villain (Scarlet witch) is absolutely selfish about her kids, totally mean to everyone, obviously destroying and intimidating the world, and whole negatively influenced by deep dark source, darkhold. YET... I still love and even symphatetic towards her. Scarlet Witch is innocent sad child. This movie... messed me up 😂
2:10 now we can 100% prove that she is durable than any other avenger she literally got ripped out of the mirror dimension and regenerate her broken body like nothing.
@@chahevartanian2066 i mean yea kinda bcs she cannot die she can resurrect herself easily death cannot hold her she said it herself she too far out of reach for such trivia things like death
@@ahmedimranimran5100 not true actually. She merely used magic to contort herself. Had she been stabbed or something and didn’t react fast enough, she’d be dead.
@@mr.nobody5242 you’re gonna ask that after she literally obliterated millions of mutants across the universe just by saying “no more mutants” (house of m comics)
I'm so happy that this movie gives Wanda a really big chance and she is awesome and looks so powerful of course, well, she IS powerful. I can't wait for her new coming appearances
@@definitelynotriley no. She broke free of the darkhold. Then she collapsed the building (whatever it's called) that was the Scarlet Witch's. She's not dead, but the darkhold was destroyed in every universe across the multiverse
@@vitaminka6431 her children are real…? they’re just dead 💀 she gave birth to them like a REAL mother, they were just tied her magic and the hex, and once that went down they died. her power is literally REALITY WARPING. she can make ANYTHING become reality
Honestly, after everything that wanda did in Wandavision and MoM, I hope she'll become an anti-hero or maybe an anti-villain. I do realize that she always become the villain then the hero in the comics, but I wanna see her storyline as antihero/antivillain
I find it crazy that Elizabeth Olsen still manages to bring so much nuance to Wanda despite playing her for 7 years now. She's a powerhouse of an actress.
Elizabeth Olsen saying Wanda was “struggling” against the Illuminati is because she was possessed by the scarlet witch and the scarlet witch wasn’t there physically. She’s really saying to us that the scarlet witch against the Illuminati wouldn’t even have a single blood on her face 💀. This scene was easy enough but apparently it could have been even more easier sksjsjs
same. too many missed oppotunities also. performance and all, I just also wished that the Scarlet Witch vs Kamar Taj battle was more epic- visually speaking. All they did was fire some magical canon and throw some arrows and Wanda just threw some explosives. Was hopinh some DS1 visuals or some Thanos x Strange Titan battle but nah. *No Sorcerer Supreme Wong vs The Scarlet Witch.* (Wong was 80% useless and just wanda's personal ragdoll) *No Doctor Strange vs Wanda.* (i get that they're establishing her to be more OP than Strange but dangg they couldve at least write and direct him to fight back at least and not just kissing the floor everytime they meet) *No elder sorcerers againts the myth and the terror of the Scarlet Witch.* (Raimi gave a quick focus on the elders when the SW was mentioned yet after that, they've never been seen again.) *No astral projecting battle between Strand and Wanda* (we saw in WV post credits that for the first we've seen an MCU character able to master controling their astral projection WHILE being concious. Strange and Wong would've had the biggest gag of their lives when they attemp to separate her soul and Wanda would just pull an evil smile. )
Honestly Elizabeth Olsen was fantastic in this, I could really feel her emotions throughout the entire film 🙌 I feel like she deserves her own movie🤯😳😳😳😳😱🥶🥶
Shoutout to Sam Raimi, Mihcael Waldron and Elizabeth Olsen for perfecting the hero antagonist trope. I really like when Strange sees Wanda with the Darkhold he says "our enemies", but once he hears what Wanda plans to do to America, he has to accept that she's no longer the same person he fought side by side with in Infinity War and Endgame.
It's sad. Strange will most likely form the 616 version of the Illuminati to guard against cosmic threats like the Scarlet Witch. Midnight Suns and Defenders will be a thing too, since Strange leads both teams.
EW do not praise Michael Waldron for the role of Wanda as a villain. He is the worst writer. Wanda was set up as a villain in WandaVision's post credit scene.
Wanda by Elisabeth is Marvel's top 5 character ever specially after this film..this is her highest point as actor and lowest point as an Avengers..i hope she gets her original arc back before calling it a day..we will keep love her little head tilt 04:25
@@dr.robotnick1888 after Quantumania? Yes Kang became a joke unfortunately. The fact the original idea for Wanda being a villain was going to be an entire Avengers film down the round and just think how much we’d care and be conflicted with the Avengers and others vs Wanda instead of Kang who we as a whole fandom have zero build up or personal connection with compared to a fallen Avenger herself. Wasted potential 🙄
Something I find insanely cool is that you can tell by Wanda’s costume that she has been severely become corrupted by the dark hold throughout the movie
Too many people in this comment section really can't comprehend that 10 minutes of highlighted scenes isn't the entire movie... Wanda being the antagonist of this film had over 30+ minutes of screen time. Doctor Strange had somewhere around 72 I believe. Overall, considering these two characters where the main characters, this makes sense.
Is it sad I never see Wanda as a Villainess? I just see a broken person who is not trying to hurt someone. It's just a consequence to her wish. She's just too "enough already" to be anything else. She wants to be happy. Yes. But she's destroyed the happiness of so many others in the process. In the end, Wands just couldn't take what she had turned into from her pain.
It breaks my heart to see Wanda here Still, I understand her choices Honestly, I do not understand Strange’s action I would not choose someone I met yesterday Over my friends that I’ve known for years Even the Scarlet Witch admits that she only wants to be with her boys She doesn’t want to rule all the universes
If he didn't see her running with his "other me" in his dream before (and being chased by the same exact monster).. I'm pretty sure he won't trust America Chaves that easily. His instinct is telling him something.
I feel bad for the Wanda from the 616 universe, she at least deserves a chance to be happy especially after everything that has happened in endgame. At least she wasn't completely evil like sinister strange
@@JustinWilliams-ed2ug she kill many innocents and soldiers and almost kill and a girl who doesn’t exist in no other timeline. As well as kill the other her and still her kids
@Crimson Horror What? Most of the characters in the MCU are actually pretty well fleshed out? Especially recently when the movies portrayed darker themes. Sure, not all characters literally go dark, but most of them do have realistic reactions. We've seen a number of characters go through depression, mourning, show physical complications due to their years of fighting, etc. Overall, Marvel is pretty good at making their characters realistic. I think you misunderstand what a complex broken character is. Not all of them have to go on a murderous rampage to portray how 'misunderstood' they are? Most of the characters by this point are also pretty 'broken' considering all of them have been through hell. And finally, a good amount of the characters are also complex and have more personality than just 'hero's.
@@Talhasarwar1 she doesnt really sacrifice anything. She just loses the ones she loves. Still doesnt justify the countless deaths and destruction she caused.
Wanda is as strong as the One-Above-All allows her to get. Always remember that. Once she breaks a line, she gets wiped out from existence and he restores the past, so dont worry. It cant get that bad xD I always have that in the back of my mind while watching marvel movies xD
@@celinamontano5449 of course he exists in the MCU. If he didnt exist, the MCU wouldnt exist. Thats the whole point of him. Read up on him pls. Hes not a "character". He's god
@@celinamontano5449 He doesnt need to get referenced. You dont get it. He exists everywhere. His concept is the one of a god that not only exists in the comics. He exists in our real world too... Not that I believe in him or anything, but thats his concept. A being above everyone, even us humans. He transcends it all. For example he also allowed the creation of the DC universe, he allowed the creation of the transformers universe, he even allowed the creation of you as a human. Do you get it now? He is the literal god. If something exists, for example the toys you played with when you were young, these toys exist, because TOAA allowed them to be created.

so was the winter soldier? if he was under control by hydra - what’s the difference with wanda and the darkhold? because she’s a woman who kicked ass in a movie and it’s too much for you?
@@jeffreyh9908 I don’t mind the direction they took with the scarlet witch , but the winter soldier isn’t a good comparison , as he was unwillingly captured, brainwashed and forced to do their bidding, while Wanda was misguided and consumed by grief, the darkhold merely corrupted her
Although Olsen's performance was great, I really don't like what they did with Wanda's character. They basically turned her into La Llorona, a miserable being whose entire existence revolves around lamenting the death of her dumb kids, which she happened to kill herself in the first place.
I mean her putting her body back together like that makes me think that she obvi survived being crushed. Maybe she wanted a symbolic rebirth. She knew she’d survive but just wanted to feel like she was closing a chapter. By quite literally bringing down the shrine on top of her
It's interesting how suddenly you can learn so much about people's way of thinking by reading their opinion on Wanda in the comment section in RU-vid lol two types of people - the judgy ones and the broken ones
After seeing this movie nobody except for galactus can beat the scarlet witch if she fought Jean gray every single universe is destroyed im still stunned now that thanos lived through her rage
