Wonderful talk! I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I know that this is Christs' New Testament Church restored to the earth. He personally loves you and I, and wants us to come unto him.
She helped illuminate the covenant path a bit more for me as I contemplate love and covenants. The covenant binding with God and His Son differs from a pursuit for love. To feel God’s love and know you are His is the first step. It is not intended for us to remain at this first step. Many Christian faiths remain at this step because they know not where to look for the next, they are blinded and/or deceived, or they harden their hearts with the concept of “we have a Bible, we need no more Bible”. After knowing deep in your heart that you are a beloved child of God, the next step is to bind your very soul to your Father and Redeemer. This is to abide in His love. This is to walk in His light. So it no longer is a question of love. It is a pleading of please help me walk this path because surely I will stumble. Surely I will fall, but just as surely I will repent and You will bind me up. God loves ALL His children. There is no doubt about that. But there is a peace and power and protection that comes to His covenant children. There is no doubt about that either. I am grateful to tread this difficult, beautiful path with Him.
