Thanks for the effort, I used the throw duplication glitch to dupe things like large zonaite and lynel parts so a new duplication glitch that allows me to do the same is practically life saving❤❤❤. Thank you❤
I tried vendor scamming with diamonds with 17 in my inventory and it didn't work even when the negative numbers showed up (but I was holding 5 after getting off the horse), then I dropped all but 4 and did it and it didnt work either (but I could sell them and get them back). So I just did it several times while only having 5 in my inventory (so dropping the others on the ground before attempting). This lets you sell all 5 and get 5 back (2500 a pop). Don't know if any of this is hepful information. Took me like 20 minutes to hit it the first time now it takes like 2-3 minutes. Kinda fun doing my first intentional glitch in a game after years of watching speedrunners!
MTD still works but you need more height (or maybe extremely good timing). I have found it works from the scaffolding path above the entrance to lookout landing. Setup to throw the item you have 1 of, jump off and hit d-pad up again. Then let go just long enough that Link's arm moves a little forward, then while the arm is still moving press d-pad up again. With that menu still up let go of throw (R), then release d-pad up just long enough that Link's arm is at the back position right before throwing. Then hit d-pad up and drop the item. If too late on the last step it will have already been thrown. Or if too early you may get a "this item can't be taken out here" message. The timing window is small but watching the arm movements helps. You can make the arm movements happen while standing on the ground but it won't allow the glitch. So far, recalling a fragile or exploding item does not seem possible (in normal gravity or at this height), the delay before you can use recall after landing on the ground is too long.
Agreed. It's core to how the physics work. Changing it would require heavy touches on the physics, and I seriously doubt they would bother at this point

I finished the main game last week, luckily I got what I needed before the patch, just wish I had maxed out cash and zonite devices. I only looked up item dupe when I was farming Gleeok Guts and Lizard Tails. If they improved item durability and drop rates a lot of people would not bother using these glitches in the first place, the grind is far too much and save spamming gets very annoying.
I'm still on version 1.0 with the physical cartridge. The dispenser storage glitch is the first item dupe glitch since v1.0 that isn't incredibly tedious. It's still not quite as easy as item duping in 1.0, but I won't mind updating the game now. Thanks for the info.

Man, screw Nintendo. They patch things that no one asked to be fixed. *WE LIKE THESE GLITCHES.* Nintendo is actually actively making this game worse and less fun. I wish they would stop. None of the glitches so far were game breaking.
This is only a valid complaint when the game is prioritizing these glitches instead present game breaking glitches, like when Rockstar constantly nerfs money making but does Jack shit about modders.
Here’s something important to note: if hydro clipping is not working, then try leaving recall open for 3-5 minutes. Some people’s switches have more lag than others so you may need to wait a while.
i know that 12k is a lot of subs, but this man really deserves more, the videos are so well maed and clear, there are bigger youtubers who make totk tutorials but they dont explain it much ty for these :)
I never abused any glitches in my 190 or so hours I spent in the game but it's always a bit of a shame when they have to patch things like this in single player games. No one would really stumble upon many of these casually/by accident. At least they're still available in older versions if I ever feel like starting a new save and messing around
Hiii! I found a way around! You don't need to do it stricktly jumping back, you can also do it kinda back "side-jumping" off a cliff high enough so you can still throw things to the air. If you are close enough to the void such as an Island in the sky, exploding things such as Dragon parts or Star Fragments can be recalled. I just made a short so you can see it (sorry about the noob play). Hopefully one of the more pro guys can explain this method better lol 😅
I already made the mistake of updating from 1.0.0 at all, but 1.2.0 does have some of the easiest and most consistent glitches such as MTD (I’ve already gotten 6 full batteries by duplicating large zonaite), vendor scamming (it took a super long time since I only duplicated 15 diamonds using MTD but got max rupees now) and other fun bits. So, I think I will definitely stick to 1.2.0 if possible and keep updates turned off.
Thanks for the video. I'm doing the vendor scam glitch, and it's really hard to pull out because it's easy to screw up. Mostly on getting on the horse. You need to be in the perfect position in order for the glitch to work
i feel like i'm doing something wrong with vendor scamming, i can get on the horse with the items setup and everything but when i sell all the items don't come back to my inventory
I can’t do the jump slash cancel no matter how hard I try, I will have my fingers on the buttons ready to release the dpad, then I do the jump slash and menu as fast after switch menu closes, I go to hold my diamonds and hold is greyed out, no matter how many attempts.
I feel like in every single other video game I’ve played, updates and patches were celebrated and greatly desired. Fixing common issues, things that should work, but didn’t etc. But in TOTK… it’s like “fixed a super minor thing that only happens pretty much never except for that one person. Also, took out every fun glitch.” Like… when is the Master Sword durability issue going to be addressed? I feel like this is a 5 minute fix.
theyre doing the exact same thing they did with pokemon sv with this game. ignore the actual glaring issues and instead, tackle every unintended aspect that players are getting enjoyment from

Damn it.. I gotta get memories unlocked asap so I can get max rupees before my Switch inevitably updates itself. I wish Nintendo would take the hint that so many dupe glitches get found and either leave them up or add an option that makes drop rates increase. Lot more fun without having to worry about resource management.
Did this with diamonds. Followed all the steps correctly but at the part where you sell and the amount goes to negative value, instead of keeping all the diamonds, I lose them all and only have 5 left that I was holding after I jump out of the horse. Everything works, except I don’t keep the diamonds after selling, it’s all gone.
i guess that is indeen bacause merchant has a quest to do. Something about her village, if you are talking about that one in the video. So anyone knows any merchants at open space to reach by the horse?
Really glad I decided to redownload my digital copy of TotK when I was planning to give my physical copy to my sibling in exchange for getting an MSG Sword via cloud save sooner rather than later.
Note: you *REALLY* don't want to exceed the 21 limit, because the fans will despawn and you'll only have 21 of the item. I had hundreds of items in the dispenser and exceeded the 21 limit which despawn the fans and all my items spilled out leaving me with just 21.
So I recommend only making 15 duplicates and then putting them in the machine. Just to be on the safe side, cuz after you lose hundreds of items a couple of times because your fans despawn, you'd rather take the extra time of a few additional trips.
I learned it the hard way like you but I bypassed that by using AutoBuild to create the fans, they don't count as items so you can overshoot without consequences
Dispenser and the negative duping seems to have been patched. I discovered that the dispenser in 1.2.1 doesn't save the objects into memory and sticks you with the 21 limit. For the negative duping, the ability to hold has been patched and no longer works.
When it comes to the dispenser not working what i do to be safe and usually works for me is this dont duplicate to 21 duplicate to like 15 - 17 i realised everytime i dup till 21 it just despawns the fans also another thing i do to be safe is everytime i put my 15 - 17 items in the dup machine i adjust the fans to be safe it works perfectly for me when i do this so try that if it dont work lmk ill investigate more
@breeseburger the jumpslash cancel is frame perfect, meaning you only have 1/30th of a second to do it right. Watch the video I made after this one going over all dupes in 1.2.1. It explains the situation with vendor scam on current
I still haven’t updated my game since it came out so I can still dupe everything with the glider jump and get the unbreakable master sword with and without all elements and every other glitch that was found at the launch 😂 but thanks for the vid
That last one might be really great for speedrunners as the 3 free zonai wings from the great sky island and pair this with the hydro clipping and you would be able to skip the boss rush just like any% Though for thrown items that break or elementals items once they are in the air you can use recall and they freeze then once you cancel the recall they just drop to the ground without breaking or being used up, at least that is with the old ledge duping glitch which is similar to mid air throw duping but fuckers made it where you can't drop items in mid air. The issue is even if you disabled auto-updates, sometimes you were forced into updating. My switch did that when I accidentally closed the game. I had turned off auto-updates the night before.
Maybe not a glitch but I was in the room where the Iun-orok shrine is and I was climbing the wall and Link started swimming, I did this a few times and got the same result, its pretty funny
I got totally bamboozled. I knew i shoudlnt update because my favorite glitch will get patched but the update thing said it was a system update and not a game update. RIP.
Recall launch is more of an exploit of physics than a bug, same with wind bombing, in botw if they were to fix that they would need to rewrite the whole physics engine
I just cant figure out the jump slashing horse thing Ive been trying for an hour but i just either mount the horse accidentally or just am unable to hold the items
Sorry for the late response, but you need to have unlocked the special control called “jump slash” to do it (I think) I couldn’t do it but then I got jump slash then it worked (btw it’s a frame perfect so you need to know how to spam)
The item duping glitch in the earlier versions helped me upgrade the of the wild set in a short amount of time, as well as dupe zonai for autobuild. It's going to be very hard to update, even when the DLC hits... :( Still on 1.1.2 There is a clickbait short vid saying in order to downgrade back to 1.0.0, you have to format the switch console, risking all saves from games, including ToTK.
With the minus duping, you don’t have to perform a jump slash cancel, just glide near the horse, enter bullet time, right when ur about to mount the horse exit bullet time, pull up a menu, watch a memory, then repeat usual steps like you got on the horse like normal👍
Daaaaaaaamn... And i thought the throw item dupe and weapon/bow/shield like like glitches were a pain in the ass .. i am going to need to make absolutely sure i don't update till i beat the game at this point lol
I accidentally updated my game when connecting it to the internet just to ckeck on something. 😬 And, thankfully there are some glitches introduced in a new patch that don't exists in 1.0.0, one of them is KnightPohtaytoe's "This glitch shows off Link's SLEEPER BUILD in Tears of the Kingdom" because in 1.0.0, the capsules are foggy, in later versions, they're a bit more transperent.
There is a glitch you missed, it’s much easier than minus duping. first, you can only have one one that item in your inventory at a time, jump backwards off a a ledge, while holding that item in the throwing position (high enough to give enough time to react, but not high enough to take damage), when you leave the ground, wait about half a second, then immediately press up while still holding R, let go of up for link’s arm to just slightly move, then immediately press up again, while holding up, release R, then let go of up, and immediately press it again, you should now have the drop option, while holding up, press X and release both buttons at the same time
I don't think they should remove douplication glitches. Its the players decision if they want to use them or not. Some people have work and farming everything isn't viable
Glitches must be fixed, but back in the days single player games, had cheat codes, build in. You decide for yourself if you use them. Some people complains that the game is either too easy others find it too hard. Ofcourse there is no general difficulty to suits my 7yo and me at the same time. I can't understand why nintendo don't simply add cheats. The NFC figures are already kind of cheating, so why no go a bit further. If I want all items I should be able to have them and focus on exploring the world.... if I want a challenge I can play without codes.
yo I just found the best duplication glitch 100x easier then the jump slash and almost similar to the one just patched so here it is in order: you need 1 item no more no less, climb a tree or any tall-ish structure, take a weapon out to throw, select item you want to duplicate, now jump off the tree or surface you are on but make sure to jump off backwards, immediately press up on the d-pad, release up on the d-pad, you will then see link do a motion with his arm, after you see his arm move let go of R, hit up on the d-pad again, and you will again have the drop item option. you’re welcome 👍🏻
I cant believe this because I only knew about quick smuggling before this video but Nintendo patched that so I knew no glitches for 1.2.1 until this video
It seems to be the answer is no, because I forgot to turn off autoupdate from 1.2.0, but do any of the weapon/shield duplication tricks work? Or have they all been patched.
So I've been trying to do minus duping, I've met all the requirements, and yet when I get out of the memories menu, I'm still holding the items. Does anyone have issues with this or a way to get it to work? Thanks
You arent timing it right. I managed to get it to work once but I was trying it without my horse but now that I'm at my horse I can't get it to work lol, just keep trying, you'll get it

Guys I have a myth for a weapon dupe it is where you walk of a ledge and have your weapon out and fall into a shock emitter and watch memorys until the weapon leaves your inventory and load the save
MTD is definitely the easiest dupe glitch to perform in this update (1.2.1). Also I can use this to duplicate any (non explosive on impact) materials, not only Zonai Devices.
In vendor scamming everything good untill I want to sell the items for the second time, they dont appear again at the second interaction with the vendor ( 5:00 ) Any solutions?
The negative numbers came up when I sold the items for vendor scamming, but then when I went to sell again, the items were gone. I feel like I did everything right?
Did they fix the glitch (or maybe not a glitch idk) to repair Champion weapons by fusing them to another thing and giving them to a rock octorock? Because that's by far the glitch I use the most.
I know my eagle bow still repaired when attached to hylian shield after the update that is the "champion weapon" I tried so far as it was the only one that was close to needing a repair when I was around death mountain that did not have an important fuse on it as it was a bow. Other weapon i "shield repaired" was biggoron's sword fused to a lynel shield, that worked too but that is not really a "champion weapon" but it still needs to be repaired like one and it was a "red flasher" by that time if you know what I mean. So why not give it the treatment. I use those with black hinox horns for long durability rock smashers + they go hand in hand clearing out used octos, and the hinox horns are easy to get so i got a stack of those that they can be removed on site.
I did the jump slash cancel correctly and followed your steps with vendor scamming. But when i sold the items they where gone, i didnt sort it so that cant be the issue.
Is anyone checking to see if previous glitches that had been patched out are working again? Someone who mods mentioned it looks like the game was coded in such a way that every time one glitch is fixed it causes more or brings back some older ones.
Nintindo needs to fix glitches like the fused master sword durability instead of stroking their ego and fixing these glitches that don’t really effect gameplay or story at all
I think it only works if you have 5 or less of the item, like minus duping. If you have more and the item is highlighted, it will sell them like normal, only letting you keep the ones you held.
i was doing the vendor scamming glitch and while sometimes it still holds the items after memories, I was able to successfully do the jump slash cancel a few times and the items also disappear after watching a memory but now my new problem is once I exit from the items menu, apparently my jump was overshot for some reason and instead i landed on the ground T^T I was able to land on the horse and do the glitch successfully once BUT the vendor was inside the stable by that time LMAO MY LUCK
@@helpmeouthereguys I suggest stop trying because I've done a few research when I got stuck here and apparently the VS glitch was patched Not sure if it still works cuz I've finished playing TOTK a month or so ago but I just used the mid air throw glitch with diamonds instead to get some cash (plus it's a thousand times easier because it isnt frame perfect)
