A caipirinha before start the feast and a draft beer to clean the taste before the next meat. That's how we do here in a sunny sunday lauch! Great video!
I don't understand why picanha isn't a well known piece of meat in north america. It's so delicious, super tender and juicy. It's one of the best parts of the animal.
The cows from Argentina is the best in the world. Although the bbq in general doesn’t beat the Brazilian one. And by that I mean the real Brazilian bbqs in Brazil
@@laudimf Only Rio?
WOW! It all looks so good. Was visiting in Sao Paulo many years ago and dined several nights at churrascarias. Great food and good times with Brazilian friends. Nice video...
The beef ribs are a favorite for many of us (brazilians) as well. There are even specialized restaurants called "Costelaria" which translates to "Ribbery" I guess, I don't know if that makes sense but it means "the place where ribs are cooked".
*You and your father are so spontaneous and charismatic that I wanted to have lunch with you guys as well haha I hope next time you eat Brazilian food you are actually in Brazil! The food there is amazing!*
Excellent video. No censorship on food. Mmmmm. More importantly the best part is seeing how u and ur dad enjoyed the meal and created a special memory.
Hi, David! Greetings from RECIFE, Northeast of Brazil. Actually, CORDEIRO means LAMB. The piece of meat you ate is called PERNIL DE CORDEIRO that means LEG OF LAMB. Other thing: LOMBO means BACK/LOIN. The piece of meat you ate is called LOMBO DE PORCO that means PORK LOIN. Another thing. It's not "franco" but FRANGO (CHICKEN). And Chicken Hearts means "CORAÇÃO DE FRANGO. I hope I be usefull.
Just an amazing video. Going here for my 50th and this video has me thankful such a place exists to celebrate with family. Thank you SO much for making this video!
In Brazil a barbecue place like that costs around 15 USD with all this meat quality and even better. It is not common thoughtto have all this wine selection, I believe because this is not a popular restaurant but more top class in thr U.S. Tobe honest I used to go to places like that at least twice a month, sometimes every week. Last timeI have been in Brazil I ate barbecue 2 weeks straight every single day because I missed it so bad. You have not tried yet pineapple grilled with cinammon, that is simple and awesome. Man I just miss Brazilian food so bad. Enjoy as much as you can! Also a tip, you could not find out the seasoning because Brazilian barbecue has no seasoning, everything is grilled only with salt. Every single cut of meat has its own texture, aroma and flavour. Therefore adding sauce is a waste of deliciousness, in Brazil we add only thick seasalt around the meat at the exact moment it is left to grill, then the meat is going to absorb the perfect amount of salt it needs by osmosis. All meat is grilled with fat because when it is being grilled the fat melts down and penetrates the meat giving an incredible taste. Another thing is that they dont really grill well the meat in the video, in Brazil we grill ribs for at least 8 to 12 hours not 4h like them, we wake up 6 A.M. to start a barbecue, we grill the ribs first and let it there until afternoon when the party is started, then before ribs are done we put sausages and chicken that also takes longer and picanha, etc...are the last because they get ready pretty fast. Man you made me die here of desire to go back home. Haha.
@@dalilasilva6159 The restaurants I used to eat were around 15 USD and included sushi too. However I havent been there in the last 2 years, so maybe are 20 now.
Better than Fogo de Chão? There's no chance a good barbecue place (if not the best) like Fogo de Chão would cost 15 dollars, that's just insane. Although there are a lot of places like that in Brazil, the majority of them are just crap, dirty, low quality places.
@@luizassisf dont be such a fanboy...here in Brazil we have tons of places in the same quality category as Fogo de Chão. He said 15d because Brazil's currency had its valor reduced...but its not cheap to eat in such places...
Ground salt and grill it on the wood coal. The secret is also the fire temperature and the distance the meat and the fire. When you put the salt how much you've put the salt. Techniques you learn since you're kid helping you're daddy preparing the churrasco.
My favorite place to just eat meat! We have 2 Fogo De Chao here in Maryland. You should come visit here and do a Crab house food crawl with me and my husband!
I've been here before during the yearly Miami Spice event and the food is amazing, not too many spices/seasonings either and the salad bar is phenomenal with hearts of palm and exotic variety of pickled hot peppers!! I'm drooling just thinking about it, especially since I'm craving red meat so badly🤤🤤🤤. Also, their cheese bread is a winner. I had the fresh, foamy lime juice when I lunched there and the experience was so great that 6 yrs later, I still vividly remember that day.
I’m enjoying your Miami series. This vlog was particularly amazing - and I’m a vegetarian. Of course I never miss a vlog with your dad. You have an easy and loving relationship and he loves food. Please keep these interesting foodways coming.
Sweet old man talking about leaving the amazon and eating all this food (i get it, brazil joke) when actually this food is from the part of brazil where it snows (couldn't be farther from the amazon, the distance is probably bigger than crossing the united states)
@Alexander Pimenta?
When this outbreak is over. I am goin to a Brazilian steakhouse. Thanks to davidsbeenhere to explaining how this food is made and how good it will be when i go. Good job David
In USA is not a real churrasco because they use electric grills so is not like a south brazilian made churrasco the taste relies on the method used to make it, the traditional made churrasco tastes authentic and a lot better.
I have been to 2 different restaurants, one of them was in South Korea that I visited 3 times per week. All I have to say is that this is the absolute best style of food you can have. I would live at the table if I could. I actually cried a little when I had to leave.
Rodozio is seriously an incredible experience. Go there very hungry and take your time, and don't make plans afterwards (unless that includes laying on the beach in your food coma)! I think it's a great thing to have a 2 hour experience at with friends. You can get a MASSIVE meal out of it and enjoy some wonderful recommendations from the staff when it comes to wine.
" fogo de chão" is just one of so many steak houses that we have in south Brazil. In south Brazil it's very common, and this tradition has grown up and spread around the world with our cusine.
Canismajores gaucho in Brazilian Portuguese means someone that was born in the state called “Rio Grande do Sul” I’m Brazilian and I work in a Brazilian Steakhouse in AZ and here that’s how we call the guys that prepare the meat however this same word in Brazil has a different meaning as I said above....
To be even more specific, Gaúchos are the cowboys of the southern America plains region, amid Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. So there are Gaúchos of those 3 nacionalities.
You need to como to taste de real Churrasco in Rio Grande do Sul. The Real Fogo de Chão. The Uruguay and Argentina are great but there the calls ASADO. The "CHURRASCO" is only in Brazil. eheheheheeh Cheers!
I just wanted to say that your dad is AWESOME! I hope you know how lucky you are. I am also Hungarian-American, my family came here fleeing WWI. Probably why I instantly felt the old world connection. I hope to be half as cool as he is when I reach that age!
