Northern Norway summer has beautiful nature ^^ but may have a "bipolar weather" meaning it can change from rain to sun at times depending on the month, sometimes it's a sign of autum is comming or pre summer
In my point of view Norwegian language is very beautiful,I started learning Norwegian and I can speak a little Norwegian but I still need to learn more and more 😊 In addition I wanted to say that your channel is one of my favourite channels, specially your videos that are about Norway 😊 which is a fascinating country.
I live in Tromsø and in sept/oct/nov/dec, I have seen one big aurora show per month, yes one in a month! The big aurora shows last up to 5min, yes you read right. The reason is that clear sky is extremely rare at that time. Best moments : mid january to mid march. The price are higher at that time be careful. Nothern lights is a very expensive thing, but it is worth. I recommand to stay at least 2 weeks to book tours because it is easy to miss the 5 minutes of the big show.
Can you do a video comparing Uk and Norway and which one would be better for settlement. I already live in Uk for 5 years but Norway also seems to be such a cool and chill country.

Have you ever been to Porsgrunn? I lived there for 6 months in 1995 with my ex husband and 2 year old daughter. We came back to the Uk but I regret leaving Norway. It was a very interesting experience and I agree with many of your observations. One thing that you haven’t commented on is how delicious Norwegian bread is compared to soggy sandwiches in Uk!
Hi Anna! Thank you for your very helpful and fun posts. I'm planning to live in Norway so I watched most of your Norway posts. Not sure though if you have shared about the costs of self-pampering like haircut, massage, manicure and pedicure, spa treatment, are these services very expensive as well? Thank you.
I’m moving to Norway next year and I’m so excited!! The thing I’m most concerned about is getting there - I’m moving in January, and where I live it could be around 40°C and in Norway it’s gonna be freezing, that might be a tough transition 😅😅😅
Use layers! And wool. Use wool and it will not be an issue. Even socks, thin wool socks are the bomb. Cotton is bad! Unless it's summer. Wool is also self cleaning so you don't need to, and shouldn't, wash it as often. Use special wool detergent though. And don't overdo it, remember you'll be warm when you start moving, so often it's enough with a woolen undergarment and a wind/waterproof outer layer, even around zero degrees. Comfort is important.
Hi Anna. I am Norwegian and love your videos. You present the facts in a fun way. But since you have lived in Italy and England as well. How about a video where you compare the 3 countries? How is the typical Italian, Englishman and Norwegian? Typical Norwegian, Italian and English breakfast, lunch and dinner in these countries? Differences and similarities in working life? The biggest differences in these countries? The biggest similarities in these countries? How about comparing wages in these countries? For example, what does a doctor in these 3 countries earn? Compare tax levels or cost of living? Or what do you have to pay for yourself and what is covered by the government in these countries, such as free hospitals and dentalservice for kids that we have in Norway towards Italian and English?
Nearly all supermarket chains in Stavanger has open Sundays from around 08/09 to 21. They have a section of the main store open. If there are something missing in the sunday part of the store the staff will run and fetch it for you from the main store. Just need to ask 😎🤗
OMG, you read one of my comments! Thanks very much for the transportation tips!! Unfortunately, I haven't driven in many years; and I WILL be visiting Lofoten! Guess I'll have to hitchhike to my next stop after that (gulp); I don't have a current driver's license or insurance... :/
Hello Anna. We have arrived in Norway. We’d like to stay for at least one year. Do you an opinion as to locales near Oslo for rentals? Prices, nice areas outside of town where we can have our rather large German Shepherd dog. Thank you. Becky
I used to talk to Norwegians and all of the told me it's best too learn Bokmal because even the ones that use Nynorsk, typically learn both in school but most of the population use Bokmal.
Hi, Norwegian here . Bokmål and Nynorsk are not spoken languages - they are written. People learn both in school and Bokmål is as you correctly wrote, the most common. People speak different dialects depending on where they live. If you learn to speak the way bokmål is written, everyone will understand you, however if you live here, you will most probably start speaking the dialect of the people surrounding you :)
thought closed on sundays is the normal thing. Oh, interesting. my GF's father is from Isreal, too, mother from Poland, grandmother from Lithuania, near belarus' boundary.
I would like to immigrate to Norway and start my life there however I speak English (obviously) but I also speak French and Dutch aswell as a little bit of German. Now I have to learn Norwegian aswell. I hope this will be worth my time I'm so scared I am unable to get a sustainable job
Hello ^^! Thank you for another video on Norway! I have a little question: I come from France, and I'd like to live in another country later in my life; Do you know if a foreigner can become a language teacher at university? And if a person can teach a language that is not their mother tongue? Anyway, thanks a lot xoxo
Hi! I am a German architecture student and I was thinking about doing my Master in Norway (if it would be possible, maybe as a double Master in Germany and Norway). Could you explain to me if it would be possible to study there and what school life might be like?
We have many international students and you being German should make it even easier. We love Germans up here. School life would be living in a flat, student quarters or a house along with 3-4 other students. As for the day itself it should be very similar to what you are used to from Germany.
Even if I didn't need Norwegian, if I was staying in the country I would learn it because I found most of the people appreciate the effort. It also, gives one more access to the culture. For example, I started learning Russian in mid high school but years later when I was watching "Stranger Things," The guards were speaking Russian but I knew a lot of what they were saying. Some of the dialogue, I was dying of laughter! And I enjoy the challenge.
That’s really cool! Absolutely, it’s important to know some basic phrases when you live in a country.. but to be really honest with you 🙄 I’m changing countries every 2-3 years and I really gave up to learn every language 😁 I’m also not ‘very gifted’ when it comes to learning a new language 😉 so I’ve got my English cos it’s my language of life, my Russian as it’s my language for 1 part of my family.. and Italian as it’s the language of the other part of the family 🙂 can’t squeeze more than 3 languages in my head 😁 How many languages do you speak? 😉 Why did you study Russian in your mid school? Have you ever been to Russian? 🙂
@@AnnaGoldmanTravel I have never considered myself, “gifted” in languages. I struggled with English and French growing up. It was more of a progression. Maybe around 12 or 13 when things started to stick more, I enjoyed it. I am only fluent in English. Maybe somewhere above beginner with French. German I am somewhere beginner. Russian I have no idea but I started learning because I wanted to feel closer to my Eastern European heritage. Also liked the language, culture, and listening to T.A.T.U. growing up. I also know bits and pieces of Norwegian, Spanish, Finnish, Japanese, and Chinese. Also, I guess Swedish would count I have been learning for almost a year now. No, I have never been to Russia.
Hi anna it was amazing about norway well it's gets me alot of attention to norway like I want to move to norway rn because living in puerto rico in my homeland is difficult I was born and raised here in puerto rico the problem of many puerto ricans are crime insecurity violence men hitting their women's natural disaster that's a problem too with hurricane and earthquake by the way hurricane season is coming around the corner in June so I want to leave puerto rico for good too but when someone moves to the us or to country you don't know you're going to worry about your homeland image on Christmas you're going miss you're traditional Christmas spirit la paranda and you going to miss some traditional dishes that you've been eating in puerto rico like pasteles arroz con gandoles etc etc and coquito a traditional drink on holidays all in you're life living is good

if you get trolled just block them. it must be hard being in the public eye as a You Tuber. I wouldn't have the convidense or the skills to set up a channel. in The UK its best not to drink at all if your Driving its better to be safe than to be sorry
I have many friends from the UK here, ok a few but it's a small town, so it shouldn't be an issue at all. We've been mixing it up for over a thousand years ❤️🇳🇴🇬🇧
If you take your education in Norway and start working in the high north, your education is for free. You pay interests only. It is a remote area in an arctic climate but properties are cheaper (ofcourse). People from all over the world are living in arctic norway. Some asians says that they love the arctic climate. It's kinda funny.
Not all in Norway understand English! Most people understand English! I have friends who don’t understand English! 90 % of people in Norway understand English!
Stay in the moon Don't sut down Leave your clothes in your body That is not low life is Natural fighter for don't lose place in CrazyGood= #Heaven By with smile heart and hungry face Close = $ad ALLS SAD
I have a complaint ok so i dont understand what the reason is to say things like "what you shouldnt do in norway" For most of the rules being said is very Fake, and i dont think its necesarry. This is just my opinion but try saying a little bit nicer things and the whole like "11 reasons why you Shouldn't live in norway" its very unecessary and please stop it even tho you have lived in norway For a long time. Have a good day. 🌼
I think that trying to explain what happens in norway is fine but negativity for the country Is a bit rude, and what i mean is that you have a great mind and that i think that its fine if your not negative towards norway sorry if it sounds like hate but its really not. 🌼
