The 510 is a beautiful yacht. A friend has a 2018. It's gorgeous HOWEVER the issue is the Zeus pods. He's had problems with them and Mercury no longer manufactures them. Why? Too many problems. I had a Sea Ray 470 and the Zeus pods were a nightmare and very costly to maintain and replace - I paid $20k to replace a port side pod and another $8k to replace the power steering seals on both pods. And when that happens you limp back on one motor. The seals are a big issue. And yes I did all the annual maintenance with a certified Zeus mechanic so it wasn't because they weren't properly maintained. Again, beautiful yacht but I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole because of the pods. I understand they make a version with V drives. I sold my 470 and bought an older 520 with V drives.
Always a shame to see peoples seasons ruined by external factors, in this case bad designs. Because of covid, supply chain issues, and two faulty crank shafts, my boat sat on the hard for two years to get an engine replaced 15 hours after it was re-built. Warranty only covered the cost of a new block and not cost to cut open boat and re-gelcoat the hull.
@@sharonbraselton3135 That's not the normal configuration. Sea Ray only made a handful with V drives. The boat in this video has Mercury pod drives. The issue is that Mercury is no longer in the pod drive business which means finding parts will eventually become an issue.
Some advice , don't do close ups of a door etc. We want to see the whole experience, not to just see things close up. It really gives us no point of view

Nice video - love the layout of the Sea Ray, but those the Zeus Pods are terrible! Too expensive to maintain and they do fail. The drives also decrease the value in the boat.
Many of your statements sound like they are questions due to your voice inflection. The way that we deliver words is actually just as important as the words themselves. The inflection of your voice is a major reason why people either understand what you’re saying or walk away with the wrong idea completely. Just FYI.
