The Lighting of this dance does it no favours - contemporary lighting of the stage area would have been mainly from the front - there would also have been footlights at the stagefront which would have meant that the feet were more easily visible - modern lighting designers favour "Badger" lighting from the sides which they think make the figures more "sculptural" all this does is to leave a dark strip down the front of the face (hence the Badger) Front lightig would have made all this easier to SEE!
Je me suis donc mal exprimé. Oui, je ne les trouve pas dans le rythme. Mollasson alors que la Folia est une musique envolée, etraînante, envoûtante. Votre interprétation manque de nerf.
Irena Navrkalová : You have the makings of a fine company: good training, good dancers, costumers, and musicians. Feuillet and Rameau supply only the basics, especially for theatrical dance of the period. It would be helpful to look at a lot of Jean Berain. It would be helpful to get off the vertical, to have the port de bras come from the center, to lead with the head, for principals to give each other room enough so they don't overlap, to learn the evolutions of country dance, to discover the diagonal, the serpentine...and to recruit some men! Best wishes. i. pinimg. com/originals/7b/67/f4/7b67f4f207c5a52c7e35700c7106d355.jpg
