I could cry when I think back and remember the chances to buy a Falcon coupe that I had and didn't take, it must of been around 94 or 95 a good mate of mine tried to convince me to buy an XA Falcon coupe from him for $1500!! It was the cheap model with 302 and rubber floor mats and it was pretty rough, but still I so wish I had grabbed it.
@@villiersman951 Same, I had a XW fairmont, 302, white with the black vinyl roof, lowered on chrome 12 slots etc, sold it to my mate in 1999 for $7k, he's still got it, it's worth $50 or $60k now 😭 When I think back to the 80's when my mates and I were teens, we would pick up old valiant regals and HQ holdens and XR XY XW Falcons for like 3 or 4 hundred bucks from a wreckers yard, drive the crap out of them, blow up the engine so go find another engine somewhere for 50 bucks and swap the engine out in a gravel driveway, then drive the shit out of it again and either wreck it or sell it or give it away, damn, if only we had known, should have just been collecting them up and putting them away somewhere...
@@MrGutfeeling Yeah it was cheap but way back then it was a good deal but nothing fantastic, it was probably actually worth about 4 or 5 grand then I can remember he was ringing around all of us guys desperate to get rid of it because he needed the cash to go overseas with his girlfriend. It was the very cheapest entry model XA Falcon coupe when it was new 26 odd years prior to this and it was really rough at the time, really plain with rubber floor mats no carpet, shitty old tired 302 that burned oil and smoked, it was red but the paint was all peeling off and it just had steel rims not mags, we all thought it was a bit of a heap and nobody could be bothered with it lol, doh! Now if I was lucky enough to even find something like that laying around in the same condition I'd be doing anything to get my hands on it.
