Terra and I head to the Allegheny River to fish! We end up catching walleye, smallmouth bass, and a rainbow trout! We use Chasing Trophy Fish jerkbaits and end up having a great day on the water!

Thanks for the video....!!! I used to know the Kinzua Dam area very well, but haven't been up there in 40 plus years. Miss that place ...Great memories, wonderful fishing and lots of drinking.... Now Living in Illinois 2 hours west of Chicago.

I went to high school up there… I wish I would have fished more back in those days. Great spot to fish.

One nice Walleye from the tail waters. Are you originally from the Warren area? Cool to see the area on YT. I grew up about 7 minutes from Red Bridge on Kinzua. Wish I never moved away.

I fish that same spot when I'm up there from Johnsonburg. I usually target carp because I like the long time it takes to bring one in on 6 lb line. Last one I caught was 34 inches right there.

That’s awesome!! I have never targeted carp there but I may try it sometime.. love catching those hard fighting fish!

@@VaughnHolderman I'm 58 and used to go there with friends in the early 80's. I took my kids there a couple times. We always caught one for entertainment. We threw into the fast water with a big weight and a night crawler floating a foot off the bottom. I usually use a worm blower to make it float. Don't set your pole down and walk away without keeping an eye on it or you may loose the pole.

I’ve fished up here multiple times and tried to fish it at night. Now when do you suggest to fish it, and what do you use and how do you work it.

I suggest fishing it in the Spring time when the water is around the 50 degree mark! and i use jerkbaits normally and work them slow with slow pauses... this is when the fish usually bites when you jerk it and stop it..

I've been wanting to fish up there but you've convinced me that I need to definitely try harder to get up there this year. I suppose musky in that section also? Any.suggestion where to go below the dam besides that spot you're at?

Yes there are muskie there! And well you can fish the bank for a good ways below the spillway that’s where I usually fish!

Allegheny River just below the Kinzua Dam. Warren County Probably 4 hours from you. There is lots to do in the area. Great hiking, kayaking, mountain biking etc....plenty of places to camp too.
