Allegiant A319 Trip Report 

Been flying Allegiant for 12 years. Never had any problems. Always on time or ahead of schedule. Personally, I’d rather fly an MD-80 over an Airbus any day. The Mad Dogs were the workhorse of the industry for decades. Just got back today (12/13/2020) from SFB-ATW on an A319. Plane was packed. $160 round trip. Can’t beat that!

I have flown with Allegiant for over 10 years. Never had a Problem. They are reliable and even worked through the pandemic. Thumbs up !!!👍

I flew about a month ago with allegiant I nearly had about 70% full cabin and we departed just 30 mins before schedule and landed roughly 15 mins before time at the destination, id say was great service!

I flew on three Allegiant Maddogs, One from PIE to SYR, then ROC to SFB and back. Decent flights, the seats were really comfortable, most likely because it was an older plane, back when the airline wasn't so cheap. Great trip report!

I've never flown Allegiant However in the early 2000's I worked COEX Ground at TYS We did their Ground on their MD-87 Charters to RNO They were easy to work with! Also Bags were limited to 1 Roll Aboard and 1Golf Club Bag. Also Low Slung Bins were easier to load than the Bins on the ERJ-145! I think the MD-87's were Wet Leased from Meridian. They sound like they've really improved!

I frequently fly Allegiant between ABE and PIE. I LOVE them as I would much rather fly out of ABE than drive to PHL or EWR. And Allegiant has the only nonstop service to Florida out of ABE. I flew with them a couple of times back when they still had the mad dogs and honestly, I’ve never had a bad experience. The only serious delay I had was when we were delayed at PIE because someone had a medical emergency on board and EMS had to be called. Which I found out isn’t all that uncommon since many passengers are elderly. But overall, I highly recommend Allegiant.

I love flying. You can wake up in LA and be in NY in a few hours. Outside of COVID we are so fortunate to be able to have all these convivences.

The EZ/G4 319s have the extra overwind exit because of the high density seating. At 156 pax they seat more than most airlines seat in their 320s 2 class.

Thanks for posting. I like Allegiant. The price is unbeatable. They fly from BLV (near STL) to PIE, SRQ and PGD so I have 3 options for my place in Florida. And I've never had a problem on a flight and I've flown them 5-6 times now. Get their credit card and you get free priority boarding and a free drink (alcohol!).

I flew their MD-80's several times on casino charters from MSP to Laughlin Nv. Nice ride and liked the 3-2 seating.

You were VERY lucky! The last few flights my family have with Allegiant have been awful. We've had everything from delays, cancellations, crowed flight with no distancing, other people fighting, and other people fighting my family with ended with my mother being assaulted on a flight back in May.

Wife and daughter are on one of these puddle jumpers right now. Three by three bus seats. The good news is that it's only a 2 hour flight. I don't think I could handle longer. A319 gets the job done. It's not a transcontinental monster like the A321.

It is awful to see so many airports like "ghost towns" all over the world.Normally bustling with people heading to their destination be it local or overseas...bloody terrible !! Rattling on take off is the air pressure changing flow onto the wings to get lift !! Reasonable flight given the times in which we find ourselves !! We are flying to the Dominican on Allegiant and was wondering what to expect. Thanks for the review.

I live in OH and have a second house in FL. Allegiant is great for cheap, weekend trips down there on a short flight of about 1 hour and 40 mins. Any longer of a flight would probably begin to get uncomfortable though.... Allegiant is also convenient because they fly out of my city's airport (which is smaller and has less direct flight) then the bigger city's airports nearby to which would be about an hour drive.

I'm flying for the 7th time in Feb. Love Allegiant!!!

great video as always! Allegiant has been on my list for a while so its nice to see a good review of the airline. Also, 1:51 for Air Margaritaville: went to there in early December and the nachos and food were really good and tasty, but you needed patience; there was a line to get a table and then the service took a while (so good for long layovers). Also went to the location in Panama about 2 years ago and the food was good there (and again, slow customer service)

We flew Allegiant from Albany to Punt Gorda. You get what you pay for, which is nothing but getting from point A to B. The seats were hard plastic. CDTA public buses have nicer seats. Anyways, it was cheap and no issues. Allegiant was building a $600 million dollar resort down the road from us in Port Charlotte, but that project had stopped due to Covid. I hope they can get back on track with it.

Man being 6 2 I have way less legroom I don't enjoy flying like I did when I was a kid lolol. I have to sit all the way in the back or emergency row. Nice to see the progress of Allegiant I wish they had a nonstop route from Maryland to Jamaica like Air Tran had many years ago

We live in northeast and fly to our house in FL, mostly using Spirit or Allegiant, never had a problem with either, close to on time, never an issue in the air and always pleasant attendants. Only negative is the basic accommodations, they are literally buses with wings, you buy a ticket, you get a ride and that's it. But for the price for a 3 hour flight, neither can be beat, I can fly from NY to FL for $60-$70 on Allegiant, nothing else even close.

Thank you for this excellent review! I have always also been fascinated by Allegiant. I love the fact that they fly from secondary airports, primarily. Not being a frequent flier, I have never flown with them, but I hope to one day. Wow, you are a serious Hurricanes fan! Way to go! I have several friends who love the 'Canes. Should I tell you I'm a Clemson Tigers fan? No, I won't mention that, LOL. :-D

Flying soon out of McAllen to Las Vegas for weekend getaway not fond about the 3 hour flight but I have flow with them numerous times. Me and others did have the opportunity to fly on the MD80 with Allegiant and American.

I have not flown Allegiant since the plane change. However, I did fly Allegiant many, many times from ABE to SFB on the MD 80. Never any emergency or mechanical issues in the air, but several delays on the ground due to crew, mechanical issues. I loved flying Allegiant though and can't wait to try them again. Thanks for the video. Nice job. I assume you go to the University of Miami!? My nephew graduated from there, and I used to live in Coral Gables many years ago.

Allegiant is very convenient, I fly with them frequently from Medford Oregon to Las Vegas and also to LA.

Nice review on Allegiant there business model has been one of the profitable ones in the entire industry, over the last several years . However, I would consider their business a model a ULCC , like Spirit and Frontier and not really a LCC.

If you got ice with that coffee it would have been another 2 bucks 😂

I fly allegiant all the time because really my family only ever goes to Arizona or Florida and I’m from Iowa so we fly out of Des Moines. Haven’t flown them in a while though, so much so that I’ve never been on an airbus, only their md-80s.

When you choose to fly with a budget airline, I hate to see critisizm of the lack of services. I have flown Allegiant several times to Florida, never had a problem and the staff was always top notch. I personally miss the MD-80's it was always one of my favorite aircraft, Delta had a lot of them and so did Air Canada. Allegiant's were second hand as they were a start-up but I never had a problem and loved the rocket takeoffs. BTW, the rattle was only the overhead baggage plastic doors !

Are Allegiant seats good for people who are overweight?

I love allegiant i fly them all the time from orlando sanford to toledo the flight crews are always funny always entertaining and u xant beat the price of the tickets i just flew them for 54.00 round trip

Next year I plan on flying to see my dad in Kansas City I found out allegiant goes from Orlando Sanford to Kansas City so I plan on flying allegiant I live in middleburg Florida so Sanford is a 2 hour trip from my house but worth it hopefully allegiant still offers trips to and from Kansas City by the time I’m ready and continues to offer it because then I’ll fly them every time I go see my dad I love longer flights gives me more time with my music and games on my phone hopefully RU-vid music allows me to download without a subscription so that I can listen to my music of course I have games that I can play in airplane mode so I’ll deal I’m not a big fan of airbus but I’ve learned to like their jets they are ok of course I’ll reserve a seat in the first row when I go so I have better leg room and I like to watch the fan spin and I also love that classic cfm buzz allegiant is a way better airline than spirit I’m not sure about frontier allegiant has better service though and they are the best of the 3 I do like southwest but the flights are too short even though they have WiFi what’s the use of it if I have short flights I like allegiant because they specialize in straight on shots i prefer that and the flight from Sanford to Kansas City would be over 3 hours so that would be perfect for me hopefully eventually allegiant will start offering WiFi soon or sometime not sure if they will can’t wait to try out allegiant next year it’ll be nice

I tried to book a flight with allegiant two weeks ago and had trouble with their site so sent customer service a email and never received a response. I made other reservations but not with them. They are not very customer friendly.

I think alligent is tight I flew a few times and their extra leg room seats are on only one side of plane the side I do not like to fly on :( . I do not mind them but find seats very thing and no leg room very tight
