ALLELYS moving TowHeads at Invergordon and Wick with journey on SMN Explorer.Units delivered to Subsea7 north of Wick. I must thank Subsea7 and Allelys for not chasing me lol
A towhead is a structure which is on the end of a bundle. A bundle is a multiple km long pipe which contains lots of smaller pipes/ tubes/ cables (hence the name). The bundle with a towhead on each end is floated to location and is sunk to the seabed. It typically connects subsea oil & gas wells to a platform over a distance of up to about 5km.
@@thepajbren No bother, the towheads are sunk, they function as manifolds on the seabed and will be there for the life of the system. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yACf1g9Tx_c.html
