I love uour videos. I have a request. Can you make a full tutorial video on ME-500? Like building a mix from scratch, I love the ME-1 units, but its a bit pricy and I don’t think we need ME-1 units. Thank you.

We are using allen and heath QU 32 at church and I am planning to get myself a Presonus earmix 16M. Will it work with QU series mixers?

Earmix is AVB native. This will not work with Q which has the me protocol and no Dante option.

Just two small corrections if I may....signals only go from the SQ to the ME, but not from the ME back to the SQ. The 3,5mm Aux in of the ME-1 is just an input to the specific ME-1. You cannot patch that input back to the console.

If I’m using a me 1 and then Daisy chain to my me 500. Will my channels appear on the me500? Or will they not work?

Yes, but only the first 16 assigned at the ME bus on your console.

I started leading worship recently at a church that uses the SQ5 and ME500s. One of the ME500s is controlled through AUX 1 as well as with the on-board controls. How am I able to assign the other ME500s to AUX mixes? Sometimes it’s nice to have the sound tech make tweaks during live applications.

Nice video but How is this hooked up to the SQ-5, 6 or 7? Where does the Ethernet cable rrom the Personal monitor go into on the back of the mixing board? How is it connected if the mixer is at the front of the sanctuary but the musicians are way away at the pulpit 200ft away?

The S Link port on the back of the SQ can output S-Link (snake box protocol) or Me output. So, you can direct connect there. Most of the Allen and Heath snake boxes, GX4816 or AR2412 have an Me port on the box that a ME1 or Me500 can plug into. Allen and Heath also sells an Me-U which allows connection of 10 personal mixers to the one single port.

Quick question. We recieved a QU32 at the church. We have not been able the get talkback signal from the board to the ME units. Any suggestions? Really nice video by the way.

This is probably a routing issue internally on the desk. Retrace your steps as you should be able to route the talkback to an Me channel
