Man, Likholitov is so great to watch. Great at pick and roll. Real quick reactions on both ends. Elite post game. Really good at helping and contesting shots. Damn I wish more players were like him.
@@vikctorrkreedd6418 they both said out their mouth they not coming off the bench...Melo complained about his points after wins, Melo was the reason Lin shine dimmed ....both could've excelled as 6th men and had longer careers ...facts over feelings
I can't believe this. 10 minutes into the game he touches the ball only once and on his own rebound. It's like teammates literally did a freeze out on him. He even did a lot of movement, all in vain. I hate such stuff. No respect at all.
No idea he was playing overseas ... not sure if it's because he needs the bread or just loves the game that much ... hopefully it's the latter , a legend of his stature should never have any financial troubles as long as the NBA is prospering ...... just noticed this video mad old ..... still applies I guess with him being in the BIG 3 ( not sure if he still there or not ) .....
Yes. I love basketball. But, unfortunately, it can be a very individualistic, egocentric game with any one man on the field can go coast to coast and consume the entire duration of offense. Boring for everybody else. Even Iverson can be off the ball for a long time. More pleasant that everybody owns a ball and plays alone or 1-1 or 2-2 at most.
Years later, we now understand why Iverson failed in Turkey 1. He was playing lazy. That's not full speed iverson. His man was guarding him tight but he should easily be able to create separation 2. The PG wasn't just giving him the ball. The PG was pushing the ball and trying to look for the open man. Iverson was waiting only waiting for the outlet 3. He's a dribble dribble dribble player. The European game is rotate and kick. 4. He needed to be a catch and shoot shooter. He's not a 3 pt corner man either 5. He wasnt Allen Iverson anymore
I think he underestimated the level of play, he's out of shape. Players like Shane Larkin and Mike James dominate the Euroleague and they aren't 20% the player AI was when he was locked in. He should have been the pg regardless though. He makes defenses collapse. Playing AI off the ball is a basketball sin who was coaching 😂😂? He could have played the role Dennis does for Germany in international comp
I was a huge AI fan but I lost track of him once he left the nba. I bet he hated having to go to this country to play ball. I would have. Its gotta be hard to be surrounded by thousands of people that dont even speak english. I feel bad for him actually. He took the nba by storm only to end up flushed down the toilet into Turkey..Wow..
Lol I think he only played like 3 games for them …..yea definitely blackballed out of the league (nba) the dude was sitting for a whole year as a free agent before going to Europe …..smh ….he should of been picked up on that heat big three team with wade, bosh and lebron instead of chalmers he could of easily signed a 1 year deal with them and got his ring ……Pat Riley wasn’t having it though smh
1. Your language is very disrespectful. The toilet analogy is very inappropriate. 2. It is ridiculous to be upset if an athlete who has earned millions of dollars cannot manage his career well, he used to be a player I liked. And maybe some people also happy to see him in their country, huh? 3. Turkey is a country with a basketball culture. In the early 2000s, sent players like Mirsad Türkcan, Hidayet Türkoğlu and Mehmet Okur to the NBA. Hedo and Mehmet achieved success for years. Today, Alperen Şengün plays for Houston. Türkiye also won European and world championships with the Turkish national team. Club teams like Fenerbahçe and Efes win championships in Europe. 4. When a foreign player comes to a country that speaks a language he does not know, he should feel lucky to have met a new culture. and learn its language. This is a beautiful thing. Especially if that country has a deep-rooted and rich culture that has hosted the oldest civilizations in history.
