I'm a Warriors/Klay fanatic these days but as far as childhood idols go Penny and The Answer were the epitome for me, both came from nothing and both were unstoppable in their playing primes but I always have the utmost respect for AI and what he bought to the game, the majority of his stats alone and the ability to stay 1st in the majority of those categories for so long, ie. PPG was just unbelievable given the level of competition that he was faced with back then. A True OG.

Hearing his story about his mentor slamming him on the car, gave me chills dog. Every ones a star but not everyone has the backbone and support of others to make you see what they see, glad AI took heed, and changed up.

AI was so good, it's stunning how he doesnt get the respect he deserves. I lived in Philly during his run and he literally had nothing to work with. A true one man team and he still took them to the finals. One of the greatest ever imo.

AI didn't need championships for me to consider him the best. This guy was a killer on the court and he never had the help that many of the "greats" had throughout their time. Allen Iverson did a lot for basketball, and a lot of what he accomplished was because of him. I really can't find a lot of bad things to say about him. Amazing player and an even better person.

Loved watching this guy play when I was growing up. I have fond memories wearing both The Question and The Answer I kicks in middle school through high school.

Allen Iverson comes to the show when Kristine is not there. Something tells me that alot of the players dont like her, they're worried she'll bring up their past if they visited the herd with her there. Like Domestic abuse, violence against women, etc etc. Face it Colin, you'll have a lot more players visiting your show, Hof legends and current superstars if Kristine is not there. The players respect you, but dislike her.

I went to Saint Joe's from 97-01 ... Lived in Lincoln Green on City Ave with AI (behind the Fridays) and they practiced and played pickup games at SJU. Would sit on the court while they played, then I'd see him in his maroon Bentley drive home, and they'd be at that Fridays til 2am. One day I saw him in the morning heading out, at SJU, then they came to Dave & Buster's to shoot pool where I worked. The next day I saw him in the gym, and it was the only time I ever went up to him, and I just wanted to show him some love. I remember saying "hey Allen" and he turned around, then completely ignored me and kept walking. Aaron McKie looked at me and patted me on the back, but I felt embarrassed and was disappointed. On the way out of the gym, after I worked out, they were all in hallway, and I had my headphones on. It was on mute but I pretended to sing biggie, looked AI dead in the eye and sang "They heard about the pounds they got down in Georgetown, and they heard you got half of Virginia locked down" ... Allen had an ear to ear smile and they all went nuts, hearing a little white boy rapping, and you know that's good favorite line ever ... That day forward, we weren't friends, but every time he saw me he'd call me smalls ... Never once asked for an autograph or a picture cause I knew back then he just wanted to be a normal person, but that was really something I'll always remember obviously, and I'll always be a fan of his.
