There is an uncomfortable nasty tribal element to the government treatment to Nigerian businesses, business owners of Igbo extraction are subjected to harsh unfavourable conditions and treatments. Dangote launched his refineries and it is treated as a national institution with all the monopoly given to Dangote. One can imagine if Dangote owned Innoson motors government would have slapped import duties on all other vehicles to promote their monopoly.
