Nice haul, Dave. Thanks for the shoutout. My first time at the show, as a buyer only, I only saw about 25% of it and I attended both days. The long time dealers said only the York, PA show is larger but they all said this show was the most fun to attend. See you there in April!
I must say the 1980 Topps baseball cards could be worth a lot of money. See if Rickey Henderson is in your pile. He played for the Oakland A's and his card is worth at least a hundred dollars. Might be another or two from 1980 but I can't remember. But Rickey is the golden ticket from that year. Another awesome video. Thanks again.
if you have not researched you Mickey Mouse piece yet I will save you the time, according to Worthpoint your Mickey Mouse Capers is the cover to a piece of sheet music which sold for 50 dollars back in 2022. I finally attended my first paper show this year and am now kicking myself for waiting so long
It seemed to be down, and the fact multiple dealers were bulk lotting stuff (in boxes they set up) tells me that they want to move inventory and get cash and are just looking for a sucker with more money than brains to come along. Of course that's what I bought. Go figure.
Do you see much antique photography (snapshots, CDVs, cabinet cards, tintypes, cased photos, RPPCs) at the Allentown show? Curious whether photography collectors should go to a general paper show or are there shows specifically for photography?
Yes, worth going to- I walk by that as I don't know it, but there were a few specialty dealers plus most paper dealers get a little of it in their deals and are looking to offload it. So well worth it.
