Okay i did it with traditional method, *Let milk be X Let water be Y Given we have X+Y=100........1 & X-Y=68...........2 Solve the equation 1 and 2, we will get X=84. &. Y=16 {resultant ratio of milk and water is 3:2} Now to find 'a' = do according to the question- subtract 'a' from 84(milk) and add 'à+15' to 16(water) Like this, =84-a/16+(a+5) = 3/2 =2(84-a) = 3(16+a+15) =168-2a = 93+3a =5a =75 = a= 75/5 a= 15 Hope it helps 👍

Sir if we are removing milk of some quantity and replacing it with water, for first iteration we know that only milk is getting replaced. but when on 2nd iteration if we are replacing mixture of same quantity with water, how is it logically correct that only milk is getting replaced and not water?

Sir in the second question of replacement, the answer that we got i.e. 240 it's the total/initial amount right? but they asked to find final milk in the question. or am i misunderstanding? can someone explain please?

@@poojabhatt3675 Acid : Water ( 40 : 50 ) ={40+50=90) Then 20% of 90 = 18 90-18 = 72 ( which is a new solution) Ratio will be the same for a new solution also ... ( 4:5 ) 72 ( 4:5 ) , Acid = 72 ×4/9 = 32 Water = 72× 5/9 =40 ( And now we will add 20% in water ) Water = 40 +18 = 58 So , Acid : Water ( New Solution) (32 : 58) = 16 : 29
