For the FIRST TIME EVER we caught Soni the alligator doing a DEATH ROLL! It’s our annual tradition to feed Soni and Chompers the alligators a turkey during Thanksgiving. This year shocked us when we caught him doing a death roll to tear apart his giant turkey dinner! Alligators and crocodiles can’t chew their food like we can, so when they eat large prey items, like a 22lb turkey, that they can’t swallow whole, they will often do death rolls or head thrashes to help tear apart the meat. We also feed Chompers the alligator her favorite, a turkey neck! She also eats a Cornish game hen which she devours. I hope you enjoyed watching the alligators gobble up a turkey on Thanksgiving!
