Just an into and walk around of the newest (spring 2015) arrival. Currently (sept 2015) have it torn down for the steering clutch work. Hopefully lots of vids featuring this sweet little dozer to come.
+JlhIncExcavation At least the engineers at AC gave clutch removal some thought. Its not nearly as bad as several other makes, still no fun but not too bad. I'll be putting in the bimetallic plates to hopefully eliminate the issue.
So I actually just bought an identical one like your today, the shuttle shift is stuck in forwards, the valve is free how ever no matter what you do, it just gets to go forward, I'm hoping it's a valve issue, any thoughts?
I actually sold that machine to a buddy last year while reorganizing and getting rid of some projects. However, i do recall that the previous owners had told me that it had gotten stuck in forward (could have been reverse) and that the fix was a new pump on the side of the engine. They gave me the old one, which i passed along with the machine. Apparently the drive splines like to wear down to nothing and when the pump goes so does the pressure supplied to the shuttle shift valve. I would check there and see if thats your issue. Let me know, curious if my info is still good.
pull that starter, get a dremmel with the chain saw sharpener bit, and find the teeth that are mushroomed over and simply dress them back in. it will never bring again..theres a golden tip for anyone
