@@hao9508 Yes, but I think they mean more that she once told a lie about where she was, and to make that truthful, an entire double of herself was created without her knowledge. And then there were two of her.
Everyone’s shocked about the Luther scene but isn’t that pretty much what she did with her first husband? “I heard a rumor that you loved me.” When she said she could have him if she wanted to that was the first thing that came to mind
I always wanted her to use her powers to force Reginald Hargreaves to feel all of the pain he caused them. I think that would be the coolest use of empath/mind control powers.
@@moacirfernandes2023so I guess it only works on humans, but it would be cool if she did it on any other creature like animals or bug people ( talking about Reggie)
@@AshBlueFox16that’s not true at all. She mentions she used her powers to get everything she wanted and mentioned her dad as one of the people she would rumor.
to be fair, allison losing it this season was completely in keeping with her character. she goes throughout season 1 completely refusing to use her powers because before the show started they made her cross the line and hurt the people around her. in season 2 she starts using them again, and yet people act shocked when she starts taking them too far as if it hasn't been foreshadowed the whole time.
it really was a great retcon to her character in s1 where you were just screaming at the screen for her to do something since she could fix so many problems. now i completely understand why she didn't do that, because goddamn is it a drug for her
That’s why she doesn’t use the ability. It drives her insane. And in the comics, it messes up her mental so bad to the point where she can reshape reality
@@daysam9715 at the beginning of season 2, when five landed on Dallas, during the war-battle, we’ve seen her rumouring soldiers that their heads were exploded. Which they do explode..kinda
I get that Allison has lost way too much and that she's in a world of pain, but that doesn't excuse what she did to Luther. Everyone in this god damn show needs serious therapy, her especially
@@sabcam2000 "everyone in this god damn show needs serious therapy" is exactly what OP said my dude. you doing whataboutism isn't a good look... both are bad bro, and now it seems like you're defending rape.
She did cause a lot of her own pain. Rumouring her husband, trying to rumour her daughter. Making them stay, or at least trying until that fell apart. Vanya may have destroyed the world, but what she loved was already gone because of her.
@sabcam2000 uhm.. can u read ? Everyone in this show needs therapy, viktor is part of that. And even then this doesn't excuse how Alison forced her daughter, husband and Luther against their own will. You're literally defending a rapist right now.
@@christopherj4138 i got what you meant and i agree she did go through a SW moment especially with trying to get her daughter back and doing whatever to make that happen
She went WAY too far in this season, but I kinda understand why. 1. Messed up childhood 2. She was right about the fact that they keep having to clean up Viktor's mess 3. She never has time to grieve 4. She lost her daughter 5. The person she'd been in love with since childhood (although its giving Sweet Home Alabama,) did move on pretty quick
At least someone understands this! I see a lot of hate in her direction, they say, her behavior is unreasonable, but this is not so. Yes, I'm not denying that Alisson is doing terribly this season, but I can understand what has become of her
@@Bomzhmamaev12345 her behavior is ofc reasonable, but it doesn't mean they were justified. Viktor lost both sissy and harlan yet he never inflicted pain or anger unto his family
Victor's mess? was it his fault tho? everything was out of his control. Alisson was a major B, because she was hurt and she wanted to hurt others, so they would feel the same
Allison yelling at Viktor actually brought me to tears. I haven’t cried at a piece of media in forever but that BROKE me. Before then I kept saying, Allison is grieving but after that, something in me just didn’t feel the same pity for her anymore. I still like her character and I know she deserves happiness but damn, just thinking about that scene right now is getting me choked up
@@nahaight1373 lemme remind you that allison played a key part in this in their childhood when she rumored viktor into thinking he was ordinary. viktor cant be selfish because if i found out my own family lied my whole life to me i would be angry too and especially when its something so important. i mean, they were no ordinary kids after all. allison has no right to complain when she was a key part to starting it.
@@turskopile She was literally four years old when that happened. A toddler. She wouldn't have known the difference between right and wrong and she probably wouldn't have even remembered it 🙄
I saw this theory the other day where somebody was like isn’t it interesting how she started doing all that shit after she rumored herself to be happy when she looked in that broken mirror and rumored herself to be happy. She never really clarified what she meant by happy. like she wanted to feel happy or if she was willing to do anything to be happy and I think it’s the second one now her brain is just doing what she told it to do doing anything and everything to be happy even if it’s wrong
A lot of people don't understand that Allison has lost a lot. Her daughter was her world, and because of Viktor she lost her. Then after being teleported to a racist Era with no voice because of Viktor once again, she finds love and gets married. Only for Viktor to ruin that too. And everyone is annoyed that she's depressed but is always catering to Viktor. She feels like people don't care about her. Luther scene aside, her reaction to everything was perfectly human.
Viktor never meant to destroy the world; it was actually Allison’s own action of firing the gun close to his ear that caused his power beam to hit the moon and wipe out the world including Claire. And Viktor didn’t ruin her relationship with Ray. She could’ve stayed with Ray at the end of s2. It was her choice to leave Ray. Plus she promised Viktor he’d always be family and nothing would make her love him less; she went back on that merely because she didn’t want to admit that maybe SHE has made mistakes that have come back to haunt her, and that maybe blaming other people won’t fix anything.
Victor wasn’t really at fault for any of that lol. He was treated liek shit by everyone and lost control and then five was the one who teleported them all both times.
What she did to Luther was a complete disregard for his feelings. That had nothing to do with her grievance, nothing to do with her spat with viktor, absolutely nothing but a pure act of selfishness.
other than that whole luther scene , (which was completely uncalled for and i blame the writers for that) everything else was justified this season. i really wish they didn’t make her do that.
being able to say things and make them happen is such a ridiculously strong power. granted in Allison's case the target needs to be within ear shot so she can;t pull a "no more mutants" moment, but she is still probably the strongest character on the show.
It's even worse in the comics. Whatever she says happens. She can literally fuck with the physics of the universe if she so chooses. Hell she kills JFK by saying I heard a rumour that the back of hour head is about to explode... so it explodes.
Rewatching this season, I just realized Allison was actually the bad guy here, abusing her powers. I mean I've lost a child so I know what she feels like, lashing out at anyone and anything. I can't even imagine what I'd do if I had her powers.
I'm still not over her rumoring young Viktor into believing he's absolutely "ordinary". After that reveal, her downward spiral seemed inevitable to me, because that showed who she really is beneath her mask of empathy --- a really selfish person. Of course, it's more complex than that since they all need therapy, but still. Anyway, Emmy does a phenomenal job as Allison! I feel her grief even as I dislike her as a character. Looking forward to seeing how things develop.
Seems very unfair to blame Allison for doing what she was told to do by her father. Even more so when it is framed as being in the best interest and safety of her sister. She doesn't benefit from doing so, so I do not see how that is selfish of her either. Forcing other people to act as she wishes, or to love her is something to be talked about, but then you have to reflect on her lack of love and upbringing and how much any person is responsible for their reactions or coping with trauma.
You can't blame her for that and it's weird that you blame her, reginald made her do it if you even paid attention she was literally hesitant to even rumor her own brother.
Kinda wrong to blame her. She was a kid and her “dad” told her to do it. The kid version of her literally seem like she didn’t want to do it. Even when Allison admitted it she regretted it.
@@titheproven954 I blame her for not telling Viktor after they've grown up. As a child, she did one thing that we can blame her dad for. But as an adult, she never bothered to tell him??? She just let him continue in believing the rumor and would've continued if Victor hadn't uncovered it himself??? It's been awhile so maybe I'm misremembering, but even when Victor confronts her, she tries to Rumor him _again_ to calm him down(be use Etta wouldn't be totally triggering for Victor at all😐) before getting her throat sliced. Also, they all have trauma. Trauma does not excuse her inflicting pain on others. If that were the case then accountability would be non existent for anyone who's dealt with _anything_ . She's an adult now and had a responsibility to deal with the wounds of her upbringing in ways that don't involve hurting other people that don't eserve it. Just because there's an explanation (her upbringing) for her bad behaviour, doesn't mean she's excused from judgement or consequences from that bad behaviour. Trauma is not an excuse.
@@burlington3731 she regretted it, but never bothered to tell Victor. I don't care about her doing it as a kid, I care about her not fessing up to it later on as an adult. That was scummy and cowardly.

No bc i agreed with a lot of points allison made. Bc of viktor she lost her daughter and her husband. She had to live to the 60s as a black woman. That shit is absolutely traumatizing. Ofc this isnt completely Viktor’s fault but the family is just forced to clean up viktor’s mess. And viktor found out abt harlen and chose not to say anything. I get harlen was like his kid but harlen is old now and lived out his life which is why i wasnt upset when allison killed him. However I absolutely will not at all tolerate her rumoring luther. No matter how much she’s in pain that is never okay
dude allison is so mean to everyone because ..well actually i dont see why. i get being sad cuz u lost ur child but the way she treated viktor in that one scene made me crumple in my own skin
It’s also that she finally made a life for herself without her family and her powers and had someone who truly loved her. She came back to the “present” to see her daughter, if it wasn’t for her daughter she would’ve been more inclined to stay back with him. I think losing her child and her husband, made her lose her mind and heart. Atm she just feels broken and she just wants them back. So she will do anything to get them back.
I mean I’m not completely defending her. I understand where she is coming from but she does cross the line this season, just how Viktor did in season 1
@@crystalnguyen7087 that is what im saying. she is taking it too far, to the point that her family doesnt like her anymore. her family is hwat she got left and she treats them like shit

@@morningivy9006 they don't have to. It's in there. She shouldn't have done it, but I don't think the writers thought it would get so much backlash. It didn't bother me much because a lot of bad things have been done by these characters and if most of us had these powers, we'd do a lot worst
@@matthewhenry6515 Right. People get so upset over depictions of sexual violence like there aren't equally bad or arguably worse things happening. Allison literally murdered people. Her forcing Luther to kiss her isn't even the worst thing she could have done to him in terms of sexual assault. Don't get me wrong, it's still horrible. But these are messy people getting themselves into messy, real-life issues with each other, albeit in a supernatural setting. The only type of thing I'd want immediately retconned is anything inappropriate involving children, and even then it depends on how it's presented. Implications are a little more subtle than a direct approach.
i like that the sa scene is there, actually. awful to watch, but i think it's very powerful to explore how dark her powers really are, as well as hopefully show a meaningful depiction of female-on-male sa not as a joke but a real depiction of trauma and abuse. i hate that it happened to luther because i want him to be happy, but i don't think the show wanted to excuse or justify it at all. if they ignore it in s4 though i'll be pissed
Idk why ppl acting like the luther scene was so left field, it was literally implied in season 1 epsiode that she used her rumor powers before to take advantage of ppl "i heard a rumor you love me" this show is all about how messed up these ppl are due to their circumstances
Love her or hate her you can never deny the sheer power she held even as a child she had the power to legit change reality SHE BOUT TO EATTTT in season 4!
Umbrella academy for anyone that is wondering, the person was too lazy to state it and didn't want to say it due to the fact that he wanted it be meant for true fans that only understood it. That's the rumor I heard though, just saying
But… didn’t she already lose her daughter in the first place when Patrick caught her rumoring their daughter to go to sleep? He divorced her and took away their daughter because of how she just casually uses her powers constantly on them. she also used her powers to make him love her and marry her. Everything was kinda forced because of her actions. Now, she SA’d Luther and as disturbing as it is for me, it didn’t surprise me anymore given the fact to what she did to Patrick. Or was that all in my head from reading way too many stories and it’s not actually canon?
Not being able to MEET with her daughter due to legal reasons caused by her powers is VERY VERY VERY VERY different from your daughter actually being dead....
@lilacdaven but... it's kind of still basically the same though, isn't it? Her daughter not existing or being dead doesn't change the fact that Allison still can't see her or meet her in the first place. She's basically dead to Patrick since he doesn’t want anything to do with her or have her be anywhere near their daughter. Yes meet and dead are very different but in her case, It's still kind of the same. (By the way I'm sorry if my english doesn't make sense a bit. Not the greatest with english 😅)
@@cleopatradizon2042 Your english is very good, no worries!! I see your points too, though my perception of it is very different. While Allison can't see her daughter, she knows her daughter is still alive, breathing. Any good parent knowing their child is still alive should be enough. However, Allison breaking down completely because her daughter is dead makes complete sense to me. Allison might be held back by the law to see her child, but her child being dead means a large part of her dies too. Think of it like this: You have a child, that child moves out and no longer keeps contact with you as much. However, your child is still a part of you, even though you don't see nor speak to your kid as often. For allison, she doesn't see her kid at all, which would make the yearning to know her child is completely fine a major factor in her meaning of life. Now that her kid is dead, that meaning is gone. Meaning doesn't just disapear simply because that other person, who makes you incredibly happy, can't talk to you anymore. Meaning disapears when that person disapears from existing. Hence Allison losing her mind when her child died, not when she couldn't see her kid. An alive kid you cannot see is very different from a dead one.
@@lilacdaven I see what you're saying here, but in essence it's sort of the same. Allison lost the family she made because of her own bad choices, and the second time, she lost the family she had because of someone else. That being said, it is in NO WAY FAIR that Viktor got the blame here. The first meltdown, Viktor was being exposed to trauma very present as a danger as they once were, anhd expressed their trauma in a way directly responsive to their sense of loss - they didn't go out of their way to make anyone suffer. The second meltdown, they were LITERALLY being tortured, which is NOT AT ALL THEIR FAULT. And now, they are fully in control of their power. Allison lashing out at Viktor, specifically over the percieved fault of Viktor, is absolutely HILLARIOUS, considering Viktor DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG. They mutilated Allison, yes - made her pay for a crime comitted when they were children. But Viktor has never been outright MALICIOUS the way Allison is. Because Allison understands power, and is far, FAR too comfortable with making use of it. Also, she murdered Harlan. No other way around it, Harlan himself basically being innocent. And again, we see this theme of desire for CONTROL. She blames Viktor for being unable to control themselves, despite the extreme circumstances that provoked them in the first place, when they were essentially broken apart. She blames Harlan for being an autistic man growing up with extreme powers with limited control, without even the guidance that Reginald gave them. And she seeks to punish others simply for existing with that power, as if they haven't suffered. Though I'm probably going on here like Allison herself, isn't traumatized, in despair, and is absolutely screwed situation-wise. Her childhood was traumatizing: she had to maintain a perfect sense of self in order to keep going as if everything's alright, essentially living for what little she had in the form of Luther. The umbrella academy was harsh to them all, and she was the only one out of the 6 of them that truly came away doing "alright." Her attempts to repress the past, and more importantly BE THE BIGGER PERSON, all to make a better life are shot down, though. She gets involved ONCE back with her family, after attempting to make changes to her life after a loss to better herself, and immediately pays a price for it, despite supporting Viktor all the way through, and only really failing to mention her own somewhat traumatizing experience in not having control as a child doing what she did. She gets another family, another life, after being punished for trying to make ammends through a mutilation and complete loss of ANY control, being both mute and black in America at the time. And then she's whisked away AGAIN, to deal with more BS, with her child straight up DEAD, by no hand of her own - unless, we count the fact that she actively supported and aided Viktor's recovery process. Something that's directly brought only the worst on her, her compassion being a weakness in a sense to her. A liability. And so, she uses her power to the fullest extent - and then does some extremely awful stuff with it. Understandable. And lastly, while I think there's this subsequent message of blaming others for your mistakes, is something that is going to be addressed in a potential season four, it should be noted: just like before, Allison begins to go on a power trip with her abilities, only this time having learned from experiences of withholding her power, wielding her power, and outright losing her power, she decides to go all in on the power trip. Only for her to get EXACTLY WHAT SHE WANTED for using that power. I'm not saying she's in the wrong for this necessarily, or even in the right. I'm saying that it'll likely be something she has to confront. The irony here, is that despite Allison always seemingly being the most put together, the one who figured out herself, and her own way to happiness, and learned the consequences of her own abilities and tried to live normally for the better of everyone, is the one that ultimately loses the most through these specific events, while the rest of the crew does nothing gain a better sense of themselves, making a new world for them to grow in. And yet it's Allison that finds when things TRULY go to hell, she has the WORST coping mechanisms of them all - even worse than that of Viktor's mindless states.
I’m gonna be honest, if I knew someone with this power, I wouldn’t want them in my life. I couldn’t trust them or know what to believe. Anything could be made up
I think the only thing she was sorry for was what she did to luther. she loved her father and wanted his approval so much but after he killed luther and klaus she was done
Same that part where she saw herself being a catalyst for both of their deaths was a realization that that this whole time she actually went too far but also have no choice but to face the consequences and that’s it’s too late to fix it all if stopping the world wasn’t gonna snap her angry brooding and sulking self outta it then loosing someone she loves the most would
Allison is pissing me off so much this season, I get it, she’s been through a lot but her reaction at viktor about Harlan was uncalled for, I thought I liked her at first but I began to hate her this season, I hate her with an burning passion 😊 Edit: I FORGOT TO MENTION WHAT SHE DID TO LUTHER
she was always crazy and morally in the wrong. she got everything in the first season, her career, her husband, everything by her power. which is sick and her first husband literally divorced her after realizing this too. she didn’t even go farther than anything she hadn’t done before?? she was just more aggressive about it.
Let's just say Emmy Raver-Lampman was kn her fucking bag. Her acting is amazing. Listen besides Luthor situation. Allison had suffered a lot in season two. No one can understand she literally was dealing with Racism. She was a black woman in the 60's down south. That by itself will change you & she was already different when they finally found her in the 60's. Add the losing her daughter &husband who she help her out in that Era. The way she doing things outside of the Luthor is pretty much human.
Like, I get it, you lost a bunch of people, but damn, that was a bit much. They should have listened to her when she tried to help Viktor in season 1 though. None of this would have happened
@@kingb9921 there’s another way. Save the world let her live. Alison is a creature of self destructive no matter how she sees it. In season four she’ll lose ray and Clare because the past will comeback if, has her powers she’ll use them on the others to keep them from tell ray and Clare the truth that in turn will cause a butterfly and she’ll save the world thinking she can be forgiven but the irony will be that she’s still not forgiven and the same thing she said to Viktor in ep 3x8 will be done to her and then she’ll know how it feels. And boom that’s how the series ends.
Allison is scary because if her powers evolved shed be the most powerful of them. Look at what she can do unhinged. Vanya was great but she is just a nuke. Allison is sneaky and brutal as hell here
Allison's upgrade is literally because of Harlan who got his powers from Viktor Viktor could have cooked Allison in that rumor scene but he didn't Cause he had matured He's beginning to control his powers FYI 😊 Klaus and five are more powerful than Allison But No body is More powerful than Viktor in that show
The shut your mouth without saying I heard a rumor was so fucking satisfying to me fr especially after the scene Elliot slit Allison’s throat I’ve waited for this second 🥹😏 I have not finsished s3 yet but I am beyond happy she is finally using her power more it’s about time
Allison is a horrible psychotic person this season and this is highly intentional so you should see her mountain full of flaws even though you like her. Viktor acted in self defense. She wanted to rumor her. Warp her Reality. Allison on the other hand killed someone her brother cares for, SA’d Luther and has been reckless with her powers. She is going NUTS, crazy she cannot handle the reality shifts so she is stuck in this narcissistic bubble of safety. Honestly I don’t blame her for going nuts, even I couldn’t understand everything about those reality jumps. But my opinion remains, right now Allison is a villain, too.
this is her villain arc we arent supposed to sympathize with her anymore, every villain has a fucked up backstory to sympathize with but theyre still villains, if they try to redeem her next season itll be hard cuz they already turned her bad so quick and so much this season
She drove herself insane trying to rumor herself to be happy. Fans will justify Viktor murdering nannies, drstroying the world, trying to kill Allison (the only person trying to help her but are really quick the villainise the only black character.
FYI Allison tried to rumor Viktor at the cabin What tf did she expect Plus she also raped and forced Patrick to love her Rumored her own daughter ffs 😂 She's a hypocrite
Thank you, it’s so weird how all of the characters are deeply morally ambiguous and sometimes just blatant wrong and nobody has a problem with it and still Loves them but the one season Allison does some questionable stuff everyone wants to kill her off. It’s clearly racial bias. Fandoms r so annoying
Everyone keeps saying "Luther scene aside" like it was a weird one off moment that the writers made that was out of character. It wasn't. If you look back at season one, its heavily implied that Alison did that to her ex-husband to make him fall in love with her, and she either lost control of him later or did sonething else that made him leave her (which might have been, if im remembering properly, using her powers on their kid, which is super fucked up!). Hell, it wouldnt surprise me at all if Alison planted Luther's feelings for her when they were kids, too! She's always had this creepy, underlying manipulate and gross side, even if you don't want to admit it.
I see a lot of people say she lost a lot like it means something. I wont deny the fact she suffered the most but that doesnt give her the right to act like this
Nah there are too many people simping for Allison after all she’s done. She tried to rape Luther and killed Harlen. At this point there’s no redeeming her. Everyone keeps saying that it’s Viktor’s fault that Allison became like this but that just makes me wonder if y’all even watched the show. Allison was ALWAYS like this. “I heard a rumor you loved me” and “I heard a rumor you thought I was a good actress” etc. She’s been like this throughout her life. It’s just now that she doesn’t have anything anymore she doesn’t give a shit about putting on a front. And idk if y’all are deaf or something but it was clearly shown MULTIPLE times that Viktor was the victim in all these situations. He was drugged up and brainwashed as a CHILD solely because their father didn’t want to put a little more effort into training and raising him. And then on top of that was ignored and bullied by all their siblings throughout their childhood and even adulthood. Could imagine being the punching bag for your family throughout your entire life? Had this show gone a different route and Viktor never found out about his powers, I wouldn’t be surprised if he committed suc*de. That’s the level of amount of stress and trauma he’s had to endure all throughout his life.
I never held a single drop of empathy for Allison or the gorilla dude (can't remember his name) the end of the world (in season 1) was literally their fault (and ofc their father) lol
