I still have the Drive thru records compilation dvd from 2002. Best times playing in a pop punk band! I watched and studied the hell out of all the bands like the movie life, starting line, fenix tx, Allister, home grown ect. I will forever love this music
Ditto. The local indoor skate park had concerts like every weekend, all-day festivals a few times a year. There were a couple other venues that put on punk shows for all ages. The live music scene was the healthiest I ever saw it and my city wasn’t even the biggest in the state. It was fun and everyone had a blast. The early 2000s were the most fun I ever had as a music fan and a musician.
For those who don’t know, this is at the Fireside Bowl which is.. Somewhere On Fullerton.. in Chicago.. I also love that Scott has his own part in this newly recorded version. Everything about this rules.
I used to follow these guys around back in the late 90s before they signed with drive thru. my best friend made their logo with the crooked R at the end. I think that was at the Bog show at Illinois Institite of Technology. the only people at that show were the various band members, me and my 2 friends.
I'm 32 years old now and I really like this song!! When I was a teenager, I always listend to it and now I also listens to it. I like this taste of ALISTER!!
How did this song not become a huge hit back in the day and why was Allister not bigger? Got to see them at the warped tour in 2002 and they had so much energy. It's a shame they didn't get big like other bands of that time. I'm glad they are still rocking out.
I'm so freaking stoked that your comming back! My buddy's and I use to go down to Fullerton in So Cal to have fun. I was young then and a trouble maker.....I'm still an 18 year old criminal inside. Just have nicer toys to act like that criminal I am and I live North Idaho. Scott and Darin RIP.
Wow! Acabo de ver en Facebook que Allister regresa para una gira de 20 aniversario. Inmediatamente vine a ver el video. Qué buena noticia que estén de regreso. Ojalá y también haya oportunidad de escuchar música nueva.
I'm 30 and time goes by, lose track of time are they big in japan??? I remember this album and dead ends and girlfriends before. One the most underrated pop punk bands ever. This made me happy
Yeah Scott Murphy fell in love with Japan when they went on doing tours in the early 2000s and eventually moved there and started a band called Monoeyes with some other Japanese punk artists. That got Allister a pretty big Japanese cult following. He still lives in Japan now.
