So greatful I was able to see Duane play live when I was in high school. Only downside is that makes me an old guy now. Glad I lived when I did. ABB was my all time favorite band. Fillmore East was the greatest live record EVER !
"....And then there was a New Band. Much like the old band. But Fresher. A little rockier. But the lineage. The FAMILY. Is still in there. Thank God. Thank you Allman-Betts Family for your cooperation and music. Just Thank YOU! We are still " out there!" If you come out to play we will come out to see you....
The Allman Betts Band, 👍Great job on (Jessica) keep the wonderful music coming.... Just Awesome...💙💜💙💜💙💜💙!!!!-11-02--2021:Spartanburg South Carolina!!!!
If I close my eyes, I'd swear that was the Allman Brothers Band playing the instrumental classic with Dickey Betts on guitar. The Allman Betts Band nailed it big time!!!!!!
We are so lucky. We have Jaimoe's Jasszz Band, Gov't Mule, Tedeschi Trucks Band and then Allmans the Next Generation - The Allman Betts Band. The legacy lives on
Talking about early memorabilia I was at the last concert at the Fillmore and managed to get the marquee poster and that things that stayed rolled-up all safely in the top of my van until one day the top of my van had to come off and it got cut into some pieces and what a shame what a shame who is on that it was on that marquee poster I think it was what was his name Lee Michaels I believe was on that poster and Jay geils maybe I forget
You couldn't find anybody that didn't like the Allman Brothers back then. Probably even now. But I'm sure there's a few grumpy people that will say they don't.
This is the greatest band of all time, but Duane Betts might be one of the greatest guitar players alive today and JohnnyStachela and Duane Berry Oakley! This is the greatest I’ve ever ever felt about Music in my whole life
Duane hit his dad's signature Dorian lick .. unmistakable .. Allman, Betts and Oakley boys will be hittin the high note together for many years to come .. all of them are accomplished musicians in their own right .. nobody can fill their dad's shoes ..
I gotta add my endput. I absolutely love southern rock. Grew up on it. Hell its intwined with my soul. Im 33. I think haha. So anyway MTB and the ABB and are always near by everyday. Saying that i did miss out on all these bands in thier prime except for haynes joining up. Catching devon and duane in 2018 made me feel like my genre of music has come full circle and caught up withme. I love this Allmann Betts Band and really appreciate what they do for my ears and soul.
I was around when the Allman Brothers came out. You can't overstate how popular they were. You couldn't find anybody that didn't like them. Even the people that didn't like stuff for no reason liked the Allman Brothers
Duane is really good. For sure. Love him. And what he plays is a tribute to the BEST. There will never be another Dickey Betts. The ultimate player and showman.
Thank you soooo much for posting this video !!!!!! I have been a Allman Brother fan since 1971, & these / their kids are doing Jessica justice - hell yeah. Dickey is an All time favorite guitarist & his songs, of mine, his style was like no other, his boy is doing Awesome!!!!!! Peace♧♤♡☆
When I saw them live, Duane said his Dad said you pick one of my guitars to go on the road. The Goldtop! Ahhh any one but that one. Guess he backed off. It's nice to see and hear it played.
Brother I am 58 and I grew up on the Legends of Southern Rock and it melts my heart to see a younger generation and true bloodline rock this thing…… those are good tears.
Lovin it! Saw Dickey Betts and Warren Haynes do it years ago with the Allman Brothers band but great job hope to see it live soon. My copy of the new album will be here in two days. Wish this was on there.
Wondering how they sound in a bigger arena? They are at the AAC in Dallas with Lynyrd Skynyrd and Asleep at the Wheel on New years Eve. Thinking about going
Love Jessica, ever since it came out on the Brothers and Sisters album. SAW the ABB play it in '77 and also Dickey and Great Southern. These guys do a great job keeping great music alive.
The Sound Guy They also recorded at the studio on Jackson Hwy. Many instruments on album were used by their Dads and definitely Duane. There’s a sign Rick Hall had made for Duane. It says HIPPIES USE FRONT DOOR. It’s now over at the entrance to FAME. You love Southern Rock & The Swampers we’d love you to visit! Not mention Miss Etta, Miss Aretha, The Stones, Paul Simon, Rod Stewart on & on. The stories they share are awesome.
There are some song that should just be left alone and this is one of them. Unless of course you're the son(s) of one of the greatest bands ever. My gosh, Duane Betts could not have nailed this anymore! I am beyond thankful to hear and see the Allman Betts Band and realize that there is still a glimmer of light left in pure rock music!
I loved their daddy's band, we are still playing their music. I'm sure they'd be/are proud. Going to Amazon now to buy their CD's, too 😊......it brings tears to my eyes. Sooooo many great bands back in that time, glad it's carried forward.❤️
Dang, I wish I knew they were coming there, I live about an hour away, seen Eric Johnson and Robin Trower there, great place, not a bad seat in the house!!!

Chuck Leavell's solo remains the same... pure magic!
y'all just keep getting better & better...damn!! watching that keyboardist made my fingers itch to play again...really wish you would come to Delaware so i can bring mom to hear you, even Annapolis again
Its nice to see Duane play and keep his Dads legacy going for another generation or more. The only difference and granted there should be a difference here. I dont get chills when I here Duane play as good as he has gotton to this point but thats just me.His father was so great in his day with his stage presence and control of his melodic guitar style how could you beat that, you cant understood.Duane is a good player but not great for sure and probably doesnt want to be better than his Dad if you asked him. Playing major scale boxes with occasional bends and pull offs is easy to learn if you look at it technically as a guitar player. In a few months you can master it pretty much I say that with justification not jealousy at all & bringing it to fruition with a band and showcasing it is another story in itself. Thats the hard part ,LOL.... ...... Glenn P.
Dare I say, "Almost too tight?" The ending harmonics Duane did were way cool. I just wish they'd loosen up a bit & jam out on their on a bit more instead seeming a bit stiff & predictable. Not complaining, it was wonderful, just an observation. Sounded great.
I think it sounded wonderful like you said, but also, there are some mighty big shoes to fill for all these days with their dads. But I think all that loosening up will come with age and experience. It's also hard NOT to sound like your famous father no matter how hard you try.
@@sloppyg9185 I do know that. I just didn't fall off the peach truck yesterday. Our singer went to college with Devon. I know they've been playing for years.
The piano player nailed it. I was fortunate to see the original ABB and well it’s just hard to match the magic of Duane and Dickey . However they’re doing a respectable job while also creating their own niche.
So...basically you’re wondering why they aren’t more like one of the BEST jam bands ever? 😂 I’m sure the absence of drugs & alcohol has something to do with it also. The classic musicians we love tend to live more on the edge in everything they do.
