I just played for the first time today timing my healing ticks and man oh man did it make a difference. The gameplay is totally different now and I love it! Thanks for all of the info Sticky!!
@@orbus9357one thing I want to add onto the healing tick syncing, every time you die the healing tick stops and resets, and continues back from zero again once you spawn in as a dinosaur
I admire the fact you always reflect on what went wrong, why and how to possibly avoid it next time. As for the mistake itself, anky be swiping pretty fast with that preemptive hit lol - just enough time to land the second one as you ran behind instead of from the side as per your initial 2 hits. I feel like the anky timed their hits better as the fight progressed idk? Well played keep up the great work.
Sticky from my experience the healing tick procks aslon as you press the sit button on the second of your healing tick, so you don’t have to sit before it just aslong as you press the button.
Ngl I may have laughed when you ran behind the anky, good try tho! A few people were talking about the allo anky matchup at last fight night and how they could tank the hit
You did a good job honestly every hit was well placed, but next time when a low level carnivore is hunting you Do Not chase them especially since anky hits hard, hit them once and try to get rid of that bleed as effectively as you can bc once its gone then you chase them but do not chase a carnivore as a herbi while you are bleeding bc thats what they want, your chasing while bleeding is what almost killed you, not that allo's bites (just a little advice)
i remeber watching a fight night, spoons vs ankys and two ankys had a solid strat, they stood inside each other so they could protect each others heads without hitting each other, they should of won but the Spoons winned and winned and wouldnt engade until the admins forced the ankys to part and fight alone, it was so bs and frustrating to watch :( edit and i wasnt the only one annoyed with the spoons about 80% of the spectators kept calling out the spoons as Cowards and some other...nasty stuff. Some people even said "had the spoons attacked those two at the start they could of won and beat the strat" but they had gone for all the others insted. edit 2 i remeber wondering if they had done that on a Hunting ground fight night(always happens at about 3/4am for me when iam sleeping) if the admins would of done the same.
One time I was playing anky, and I broke my leg on a hill right before a spoon walked up. Fought him with a broken leg and still won lol. Honestly the broken leg didn't hurt my game at all, just kept my ass to him and didn't let him get around to my face. Was on 4th screen though with like 20 bleed but still survived XD Edit: Nvm I just remembered I was stego for that fight, I was anky when I fought 4 Allo's and killed them all lol.
@@colecampbell1906 how'd you kill the spino did he just try to tank you and it died ? because it ain't possible to kill a spino like that with stego since it can just face tank you . 14 to kill spino as stego and spino needs 11 to kill stego . I know a strat to beat spinos but I want to see if you did the same thing
@@whipper917 I just kept turning back and forth and when he came in for bites I'm pretty sure he missed some and I never missed lol. I think I just barely got out of his hitbox when he tried. After a few trades he came in and tried to assride me. I think it might attack slightly faster too so that can help.
@@whipper917 oh yea I just remembered at first when he ran in he tried to just barely bite my tail he seemed afraid to get hit. That's why I was able to make him miss a few times, when I turned it was just barely out of reach but then while he's running out I'd catch him on the tail or something.
@@colecampbell1906 well that explains how you won ( not discrediting you in any way ) but a good spino will just tank the hits ( since spino bites so fast they get to 11 bites so fast and you've probably still hit them like 8 to 9 times but you're dead now ) . even if they are too scared they can just tank and get 5 bites and let the stego bleed . I see some rexes lose to trike because of that too . they try to avoid getting hit and just give you free hits . but a good rex will do doubles and run through you . some dodge left or right to avoid you getting a triple on them but ye there's a way to ride good spinos as stego and it's the only way stego can beat a good spino however it's one of the most diffcult rides

Honestly I really hate the “timing healing tick” thing and I wish that you would just constantly heal slowly depending on the dino, food+water and if you are sitting down.
Done that was a bad idea to kill both of herbs. Anky is way too difficult for Carnos, Ceratos, Allos, Dilos, Utahs, Suchos and Albertos. Camarasaurus is op, but being vulnerable and killed by two rexes, two spinos or two gigas.
Anky also cannot 1 shot a sucho. Looks about the same dmg taken from when i got hit, but sucho is pretty slow so i bailed on that fight. Dont have the skill or patience to hold out that long
@@ofear9477 I played for years before I tested it and found out, so it's all g, no biggie. Yeah, it's true, and it's quite big difference: when almost empty food/water, you heal something like 8-9x slower than when near full food/water. Half food/water, and u heal 4-5x slower than full food/water. Even if you're close to full, say at like, 85% full food/water, you already heal 2x slower than if u were full.
If it takes all that just for you to kill an anky, you are literally wasting your time especially if you arent killing him for food, but ig if this video is just proof or a tutorial that you can 1v1 an anky as allo by all means you definitely have an audience
Yea I was more of a fan of the full on action that didn't have healing ticks. I liked it more when there was a risk of either side losing, but if one side just keeps healing it doesn't feel as exciting anymore. Not sure how to explain haha
@@buckledben Yea. Not a huge fan of meta gaming. I remember in Sticky's old videos he was almost always starving 😂 he ate what he could kill, and it was always so fun to watch intense battles. Some recent videos of course are awesome too, I love the Carno vs acro one that was just recently posted :) but the ones with the whole healing tick thing isn't in my personal interest
