Yeah that was an accidental flash, I would definitely recommend shuffling the cards face down only to prevent this from happening!

Brilliant trick. One small question, what would you do if they took another card from the box.

Honestly it’s such a rare chance of that happening I wouldn’t even worry about it. If you take the ace in the box and pull it out slightly before asking the question, now the spectator will have no other option than to grab the top card because it will be covering the other 3. If for some reason they do choose a 10, I would maybe remove all four cards from the box and proceed to do an equivoque selection to force them to choose the ace. I would say: “Here actually let me remove the cards from the box to make it easier for you.”

Definitely an option! It might make the end reveal of the trick hit even harder since you are connecting everything together using the matching cards
