Alloys are headache in general. Prone for dent/crack if you hit a bump or pothole in speed. And then replacment is only solution. Alloy adgantages are marginal. Steel Rims Rocks!!

I rubbish all this - With the traffic situation as it is, jams and deadlocks everywhere, my next vehicle is going to be a Road-Roller. No punctures, no problems of bad-rough roads, potholes or uneven roads, don't have to change the wheels ever and most importantly - No One will mess with my ride - if they do, they will get the damage, not me. And, everyone will make space for my Roller. Sala jhanjhat hee khallas !!

Performance related to braking is dependent on the contact surface area, and not on material. Alloy wheels are lighter, which usually help during tyre changes, but has no effect on fuel economy. Period. Theory ko side me rakho. I have 2 i20s at home. One with alloy and the other with steel rim. Fuel economy is exactly same.

First of all you have to know the raw materials of alloy rims. All alloys are not made from same materials. Different materials, different hardness, different breaking strength, different shearing strength and the list goes on. Expensive cars have expensive alloys which are far better from steels.

Alloy reduce average because it cover more road area. Because of Friqtion it reduced average but increase breaking. However steel are more powerful then alloy.

It depends Mike on the type of alloys.. today in market there is both low quality heavy weighted alloys and high quality light weighted alloys. For example low budget alloys can be more heavy than your existing steel rims.

In short, alloys wheels are anytime better than steel wheels if you are driving in normal road. But if you are driving in off road go for steel wheels without thinking.

@Appu i guess on the performance side there might be improvement..but not on mileage...juat bcoz of 10 to 20 kgs of weight reduction due to alloy wheels you wont see any mileage reduction...you are not making aero dynamics of the car better or you engine will not suddenly become more efficient due to 20 kgs weight reduction..

Unless you own a performance car/sports car, you shouldn't go for alloy wheels. Steel rims are more suitable on Indian roads anyways.

Just a quick question - if what you are saying is true then why now days all car manufactures are giving alloys be it a BMW or Santro. I believe company gives something after doing complete R&D. They give steel rim on lower model is just because they are cheap. So it’s simple if you are paying more you’ll get better. I would say if people can afford then they should probably go for it.

Dnt install alloy wheels on your car, my personal experience, Alloy used to break, but on the other hand steel rim never gets break, And i agree breaking is better on alloy but fuel efficiency is better on steel rims More over as the video maker himself says steel rim change karna padta hai Let me tell you guys ye bohot baar karna padta hai aur alloy milta bhi nai hai same....... Indian roads me alloys laga ke aap tension me hi chalaoge ko kahin koi khadda na aa jaye Please ignore alloys If alloys are company fitted then ok.

भाई सहाब मैने एक पुरानी कार ली i10 grand जिसमे कम्पनी से 165/65R14 आता है लेकिन पहले वाली गाड़ी के मालिक ने इसमें 175/65/R14 के टायर लगा रक्खे है तो इससे गाड़ी की परफॉर्मेंस ओर avrage पर कोई फर्क पड़ेगा plz भाई साहब बताना जरूर

This guy has no clue what he is talking about. Perfect example of owning a shop does not gives you knowledge. Bus 2 point sahi hai but bhai, steel wheels be light weight aate hain and cuts are also agressive to get brakes release heat better. And what do you even mean by heat dispense, clear batai yaar, because of cut more empty space for heat tk go out. Also, alloys bend way quicker during an accident than steel. Anyhow signing off.

It is heat dissipation and conduction...steel has unique property of heat conduction and radiation, as break drums or disk breaks gets heat during breaking steel wheels conduct the heat and radiate outward this increases breaking efficiency and also durability of wheels, . new defender they recommend steel wheels over alloy for (off road), any hardcore off-roader will go for steel because it has many advantages over alloy it is just that we are ignorent and always go by good looks of alloy....

Nitrogen is used because compared to natural air nitrogen doesn't expand or shrink due to temperature change so the pressure inside the tyre remains constant throughout the journey.

Bheem Bandhu Sir Average ki bat kare to Original alloy Jo magnesium se bana hota hai wo steel se strong hota hai or steel se halka bhi hota hai So original alloy Average ke mamle Mai better option hota hai. Par agar aap aftermarket alloys install karoge to wo Fake hote hai Jo iron ke bane hote hai . Is liye wo weight main jyada hote hai Jo milage decrease karta hai

Resale value of alloy wheel is more than steel wheel.Steel wheel welding is easy if required aluminium welding is difficult and uncommon.

alloys rims are for style only..and not as strong as steel rims for sure ,no doubt alloys rims are also sturdy and long lasting and more over its looks good on any car rather then steel rims which does appeal n look good as alloys. its my personal n practical experience i feel so. only disadvantage of alloys rims are that if it breaks its not repairable.and steel rims does not break at all, but bends frm sides if hit hard in driving.but one thing for sure i felt is when driving in alloy rims the steering and the complete car driving becomes smooth and very controllable too. feel lighter and more drivibility of car is better then steel rims.Overall Alloy rims are better then steel rims in looks ,reliable.and driveibility of cars then steel rims.

brother dnt spread wrong information ...alloy wheels are much better than steel wheels...car manufacturer add this in top variants of the car *Although m not in favour of after market alloy ... only genuine OEM alloys are recommended to use*

3rd reason is BS, bawkaas!... weight equally distribute karte hai... to kya steel nahi karte...? kya bhai kuch bhi bolte ho. suspension ka alloy aur steel se koi bhi matlab nahi hai
