This video it definitely better than what the manufacturer is probably putting out. Nothing beats a real world experience.

Glad it's a review of something techs would actually want and can practically use during work. Would be good to have this on a compressor job. I've always been skeptical on the claims these make and didn't understand really how they work until this. If I ever do get one I'll get this one since I now know the numbers are pretty accurate. Only one thing I would add is to have a disclaimer on longevity and how the warranty would go in the case of a problem.

This a little small for a vac pump but good for smaller things. I have a review on a 1200w and 1800w unit that I'm reviewing now.

In order for those voltages on the USB C to happen it has to negotiate with the device for PD and then the usba is Qualcomm quick charge Qualcomm quick charge to get the voltages
@HVACRSurvival
@HVACRSurvival Год назад
So I'll need to use an inline meter with a device that has the ability to negotiate that Qualcomm charge rate?

I got one for 120€...using it in my greenhouse for ventilation, it take 300w solar panel and can sustain a 100W load all day in summer.

Isn't like he's reviewing a kitchen knife or similar. Techs could use this while swapping a compressor and play music. Would probably last a long time.

Could be that your meter doesn't have a PD charging profile and it's just pulling a standard USB-A type amount of voltage and current off the USB-C. My meter does the same, however if I plug in a device with a proper PD charging profile circuitry then yes it will pull up to the 60w my station is rated for in and out. If the PD port on that device is not communicating with a proper circuit it's probably going to limit it to a standard USB-A type voltage and current for safety. Ie 5v x 3A. Great review and a great little unit but damn that fan is loud. It's nice it has different charging speed as 325w is over 1C for charging, probably not great for the cells if you constantly are charging at that rate.
@HVACRSurvival

I purchased another USB tester that reads the different types of USB charging plus it shows the cycle rate of the charge.

Very infornative review. The fact that it can be used as a UPS with a low THD output should make it very useful. Do you know if the battery can be recharged with a non-inverter type (high THD) generator?
@HVACRSurvival
@HVACRSurvival Год назад
Are you referring to the battery inside of the battery power? If so, I have not tried it most of my generators are clean enough that it's not a big deal.
@lnk4328
@lnk4328 Год назад
@@HVACRSurvival Yes sir. As you said, solar isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. I installed a high efficiency wall hung boiler at my son’s mountain home. He has a non-inverter Harbor Freight Predator generator. Was hoping that maybe he could use this battery as a UPS for it and then recharge it with the generator. Wonder how clean the battery output power would be with the “unclean” generator power input? Of course, first need to determine if it is big enough for the boiler and pumps load.
@HVACRSurvival
@HVACRSurvival Год назад
@@lnk4328 this would probably not be big enough to handle the motors, the problem is if you're powering it with the generator it's going to pass that power directly on through, noise and all, I had an example of that earlier but I had to cut it out because the video was getting too long.
@lnk4328
@lnk4328 Год назад
@@HVACRSurvival Agree that he would need one large enough to power the boiler through the night. Was hoping that something like this could act as a UPS and also as a poor boy’s power conditioner. I don’t have the meters to check the Predator’s THD but from what I’ve read it could be as high as 25% and don’t want to take a chance ruining the boiler’s high dollar control board. Thank you for your replies.

The worst I've seen is usually up to 5%, but that generator has been known for doing some shittier things. Get one of the generac 3000 or 3,500 watt models that are inverted driven.

I just bought one r600 power station. But the left side (110v output) is not working. Everything else works fine. Can it be fixed? Is there some kind of fuse !Please help.
@HVACRSurvival
@HVACRSurvival 5 месяцев назад
I never took it apart, but I would say there’s not a fuse, and it’s likely solid-state. If it doesn’t reset by turning it off and back on, then I would do a warranty claim.

The only downside is the small battery and no option to add an expansion battery. With such a small battery the ability to super fast charge it probably isn't any good for the longevity of the battery.

Hmm... The most interesting spec that I don't think you touched on was that solar input voltage range 12-60. I have an EB3A and was disappointed in its range. I am a cheapo and like picking up used residential panels for pennies on the dollar but typically voltages 35 and above. Did you try it out with higher solar input voltages?

If it would have went over the voltage it would have just disconnected

I've had my R600 for 2 months but only used it twice. Both times under a 26 Watt load the inverter fan turns on about every 5 minutes for 2 to 3 minutes. Under such a light load the fan shouldn't turn on at all and doesn't with my GoLabs R300 which is half as powerful. Have you had any issues with the fan coming on at low loads?

It's a 300 watt hour battery, they can charge easily in an hour or less so if you charge at maximum rate divide that into it and that'll give you your time. Depends on the rate that you're charging at
