Having an EPAS system has several advantages compared to hydraulic power steering, which is the current standard.
✅ EPAS is THE most efficient technology for power steering. Not having a hydraulic pump continously drain energy is a huge save for the overall efficiency of the machine.
✅ It's quiet. Not having a hydraulic pump to actuate the power steering means you won't hear it! The sound of a hydraulic pump is remarkably present when the rest of the machine is quiet.
✅ It's programmable. This gives us the freedom to create a steering characteristic that's stable and relaxed at higher speeds and quick and responsive at low speeds.
✅ The entire steering system is maintenance-free. Aligning perfectly with the low mainenance requirements for the rest of the machine.
