I have only cruised Carnival but after watching your Royal vlogs I can see why folks are Loyal to royal. Now that the Osaisis class ships are sailing out of Galveston I must give them a try. We REALLY like the Oasis class.. the big ships have more to do and see than the smaller ships with Royal. I highly recommend coming from Carnival you try the mega ships. We found Adventure quite boring after sailing Symphony and Oasis. Hugs my friend!
Yes, we were but in this case the ship was much more crowded than full capacity Oasis for Spring Break. The crew were even remarking.. no idea why... Still had a great time! Hugs!

That is the way Royal does the embarkation, we never have issues with Royal, last week on NCL was awful, they tell people to show up at 9am, and they have a weird way to let people in, so that is easy, we will not be doing NCL any time soon. Our way to go, in order, is Royal, Celebrity and Princess
I agree, since the return to sailing Royal ( and Carnival) have really done things to improve the speed of embarkation. Really sets the tone for a great sailing. So sorry your NCL sailing didn't go well. I like NCL but they are not my first or even second choice. Hugs!
When we did the Horizon last year in Miami, we didn't stop walking from the Uber to the lido. It was amazing. Probably same like under 10 minutes from Uber to Guys! 😀

I just love your videos. What do you use to clip on your balcony railing when taking videos? Do you use your iPhone? I want to do a time lapse video when we are in the glaciers. We will have an aft balcony.
It's a claw clip or a gooseneck clip and my GoPro. I have a older GoPro 8 that I leave on the balcony at all times with a memory card and battery ready for me to just hit record at any time. You're going to love that balcony in Alaska! Hugs!

I hear from our friend who just sailed Allure and Wonder that he and his wife enjoyed Wonder significantly more than Allure and they really enjoyed Allure. Wonder is of course newer with new shows and more dining options. Since I have not sailed Wonder I cannot attest to the cruise being better than Allure but I trust my friend's opinion. We LOVED Allure and would sail her again and again but we want to book Wonder and given the choice of the two would choose Wonder. If logistics are equal I would personally choose Wonder. Let Royal know you are celebrating and anniversary, they even have special packages you can book for the cabin to mark the special day. Congratulations on 21 years and cheers to many more! Hi, similar... Wipeout is more Tex-Mex and Sabor is more upscale Mexican with a hint of Tex-Mex... We enjoyed both but Wipeout cafe is included so we preferred that! :)

Hi! Try not to stress... If you need anything you can take care of it on the ship.. no worries. If you drink alcohol and think you will consume more than 6 to 7 alcoholic beverages a day then I do suggest the drink package. If you do not drink alcohol and only soda then the soda package may be worth it for you ( soda is included in the alcoholic beverage package so you don't need both) .. It is not worth it for me, buying a soda here and there is cheaper than the package for me. Bottled water is NOT included in the packages. You can order a 12 pack of water to be delivered to your room in your booking on Royal's website. OR you can call Royal and order it that way. In the buffet and in Cafe Promenade you can get included ( not for an additional charge) water from the dispensers ( water, tea, lemonade and in the mornings juice ( apple/orange) self serve coffee is included all day and there is also specialty coffee for an up-charge). Have fun and don't worry you will be a professional cruiser by the end of your first sea day! Hugs!
