Going out of Galveston on Harmony of the Seas in November 2023. My wife and I just finished watching your video. Great camera work and to the point narration. Truly enjoyed the video so we needed to subscribe to your channel. Thank you and well done.
Hey there. Just wanted to reach out and say as a Texan, born and raised in Dallas, I’m the ONLY Cruise Director from Texas, and board on Sunday! I am so dang PROUD to be with Royal, and out of my AWESOME State!! Yeah, I’m geekin’ out too. I ❤️ Royal
I absolutely loved this video! I just booked a cruise on an Oasis class ship. I was looking for a in-depth tour of at least one of the ships in the fleet. I couldn’t find anything good until I saw this video! Thank you so much for providing such an in-depth, and informative tour!
Great video! I am hopefully moving to Irving texas in April. And this will be the first cruise I take out of Gavelston. I also can't wait for the Texas hospitality
I'll be going in May with my family, first time sailing with RC, we usually sail w/ Carnival Thanks to your video, this blows Carnival out of the water Can't wait!
We are going on Allure of the Seas September 17-24. This is the first cruise since our honeymoon in 1991. Looks like things have changed a bit 😂. Taking our adult children for a family vacation. Can’t wait to get on the ship!
@@richardargst157 I’m not worried about Covid. I’ve had it, it sucks, but I refuse to live life worrying about something that may or may not get me sick or kill me. It’s time to move on and live life to the fullest.
Great video. You sure have charisma. May can't come soon enough for us to see Allure (and get away from the Alaskan snow). ;)- By the way, whats' your favorite of Chops, 150, and Giovanni's? We bought the speciality dining package and plan to hit all three.Cheers!
Hey Tom, thanks for the comment! 150 Central Park is my favorite of those three and one of my top signature dining experiences on any cruise ship. You're only a few weeks away, have a great time and be sure to let me know how it goes!
Great video! Love your enthusiasm! I was on the Thanksgiving cruise and it was awesome! My first time on an Oasis class ship. I have avoided Oasis class intentionally because I prefer smaller ships. However, I loved my week on Allure. Fantastic and so well done! Having said that, my next cruise is on the much smaller Radiance from Galveston in March!
Thanks for commenting Brian! Glad you enjoyed Allure but I’ve heard from so many that also prefer the smaller ships which is understandable!! Have a blast!
This terminal is fabulous! Any recommendations of where to stay the night before the cruise near by? Flying in on a Saturday for a Sunday cruise on Allure. She is my all time favorite ship!
That is nice. I live in Washington State I wish they would add more ships on this side we have to fly across the country it's been a lot more money because of the plane tickets.
That's a great point Raven! Have you ever considered the train down to California? Those ports are getting more and more great ships and itineraries! I'd love to look at it for you!
Thanks for this video so helpful! I’m looking at doing this same cruise in September. First time cruiser and a dummy when it comes to it - are alcoholic drinks included or did you buy a drink package?? Thanks so much!!!
I’m happy that you had a great time! I’m looking into going on a cruise just deciding which one to get on. I do have two children 3years and 5 years! I don’t want a ship with two much going on. I heard you went a few times before. Witch one would you recommend that isn’t too crowded and lots of areas I can go in with children?
@@karmonmoosa8995 you book the shows from the app the month before your cruise. However, other times previously showing "Sold Out" may become available once you're on the ship's Wi-Fi.
Thank you for this! How early did you get to the port and how long would you say parking to boarding was? Going on my first cruise on the 5th and I believe I’m overthinking it 😅
I got to the port around noon (30 before my "arrival time") and it took about 10 minutes to get parked. I took another 5 minutes to walk to the terminal. I had no issues going through check-in and security as it all went very fast.
I enjoyed it on this ship more than I thought I would, Marianne. I think on any other Oasis-class ship I'd not particularly enjoy having the Ultimate Abyss blocking my views to the ocean or aqua theater, but on Allure it's quite relaxing. I will say that if you're a light sleeper or wake up early, the Boardwalk does get quite active in the mornings!
Hey Biff, it's true that Allure has not undergone the "Amplification" that other Oasis-class ships have. I was a bit concerned about that myself before I sailed on her, but that was quickly dissipated as you can see that they still continue to make improvements to the ship even without having the full treatment.
I'm not sure what the earliest time is that they would let you in. In my opinion, you're better off hanging out somewhere else and then coming to the terminal when you're supposed to arrive. The terminal only has some vending machines and while it's beautiful, not much to do.
This was the early dining option for the particular voyage. However, I ended up doing My Time later in the cruise on Deck 3 because that's where the smaller tables were available.
This ship doesn't as it hasn't been "Amplified" yet. It still has the Champagne Bar which have affectionately renamed "Bar" LOL since it has a small menu of champagne...
This was an invitation only trade event, so things were a bit different. Drinks were included but we couldn't eat at any specialty restaurants without an invitation (mine must have gotten lost in the mail haha!)
Hi Ann, thanks for watching! This particular cruise was a one time invitation only event so other cruises will be like normal cruises when you book your times and packages based on availability. Sorry if that was confusing
