I never would have suspected alluvial gold in Rhode Island! Where I live & pan here in Colorado is an alluvial valley so this terrain seems to be what I expect. Great video you guys!

I learnt something today. Rhode Island. Always thought it was an inner suburb of NY! It is a really beautiful place. Aries, if you don't stick with your Dads channel, start your own after you've learnt as much as you can from him. He has 53k subbies, a huge amount who'll watch you too. Why? Unbelievable! Shane, you found my exact secret spot to get gold in Rhode Island! I camp at Ginny-Bs all the time and pan at that exact gravel bar at that bend in your video! So I beat you to it! A-HA! I got about the same amount of alluvial Gold as you did, could have saved you the trouble! LOL I know you still had fun. Rhode Island has wicked good food, it's wicked beautiful in the fall, but then it gets wicked hard to drive when then have wicked bad snowstorms.

Nugget Lake in Wisconsin is a good place to find placer gold. Great camping. You can pan all the rivers that flow into the lake.

I wish I had know you’d be around I could of shown you a place in Cranston that is open to the public that my grandfather has found gold at multiple times, me mainly does metal detecting but he pans for gold as well.

And RI is loaded with quartz... Go to diamond Hill road on the Woonsocket border at diamond Hill state park and you will find masses of quartz. They use to mine it their years ago

If you come to Galveston or Houston area, let me know when you are coming.I would love to meet you in person. Galveston is full of old mansions and houses. Plus Jean Lafayette was a famous pirate that stole a lot of gold from the Spanish ships. He used to stash some in different places along the gulf coast. I might even buy you lunch.

Glad you both at least didn't get skunked...Klesh I've an Idea, take those little round flat sample display disks one stores gold and gems in and put each state's prospecting bounty in each one...Gold, Silver, Copper, Gemstones and so on, and display that making a wall map of the good ol' U.S. of A with em displaying what samples were found there in each state...add to that as you find more. After a while that wall map would look awesome...The klesh Guitarmy treasure map...Maybe add in it's own container a state coin beside the treasure container for each state...Looks awesome in my head. Be it a wall map of table top map. Have a good one friend 👍.

Have you made it to Ohio yet? Even if you have or haven’t, here is a map that might help you figure out where gold there is: images.app.goo.gl/wkxyVZQGEFce4u7r6 Stonelick Creek and Brushy Fork, north of Owensville, Clermont County, and north of Bellville, Richland County. It is probable that there are many other equally productive localities in the glaciated portion of the state. Ohio actually had over 100 gold claims in the state so it’s actually pretty productive to the point where people make their own supply of paydirts with Ohio gold. Hope this helps if you haven’t made it there yet!
