I don't know. I never tested it long enough without the solar panel. It certainly depends on how often there's a motion detection/recording and how often it's used for viewing live footage.
Got a package in the mail today and it was that exact same camera. And as I was setting it up and getting my tools ready I said to myself let me see what RU-vid has to say even though I've hung many of these in my day. But I also wanted to see how it was rated. And I must say I agree with you 100% whoever produce this as of right now so far I am still in the process of hooking it up so a later review from me will be brought up and but from what it looks of your video top notch thank you sir
When I open the app and connect to the camera there is no 24/7 stream but just a picture of footage . At the same time the indicator shows "live". When I move the camera (through my phone screen ) camera only shows a short burst of action / movement( short 2-3 second live stream and freezing again like a picture frame) Is it supposed to do that, not stream, but just turn on for short stream when it senses movement?
When I open the app and press the play button in the middle of the screenshot, it connects to the camera and I see live footage. That's how it supposed to work.
@@AmazingProductReviews Just did same steps (which I also did exactly before). The green live indicator is blinking but the screen is just a picture there's no live streaming
What happens if i don't choose a plan? Also is there another android app that works with this allweviee camera? I am hoping for a quick reply so i can finish my installation. Thank you.
You don't need to choose a plan in order to use the camera. I use it without an SD card and with the free app, and it works great. I use the free cloud storage to watch recordings. The VicoHome app works pretty good for me. I believe there's no other app you can use with the camera.
I don't think so. I couldn't find that option in the settings. You can only move it manually in the app.

Sturdy camera but Im disapointed that the "live view" times out by itself. There is also no auto tracking function so it only captures what is in the frame selected. This means that the subject can move out of frame. I have another cheaper camera that tracks the movement of the subject.
That's correct. There's no auto tracking function. I currently don't need it, but it would be great if they could implement it with one of the next app updates. What do mean the live view times out by itself?
@@kozakzsolt2025 I don't know. It's possible. Sun can also damage it. But all my solar panels still work, even if some don't look too good anymore, so I'm satisfied. :)
When did it started? Right after an update maybe? Make sure you have the most recent version of the app and most recent firmware update for the camera.
Yes it does. I don't think it will work without a WiFi connection. You need WiFi to set it up in the app and to watch live footage and video recordings.
