Ally Venable, Joanna Connor, Kara Grainger - Going Down - 4/29/22 Dallas Guitar Festival 

Joanna Connor is simply one of the best blues rock guitarists ever - so glad to see she's FINALLY getting the recognition she deserves - and her band is fantastic. And yes, I'll join the club and say that bassist is ferocious, just next level. Never heard of Kara Grainger but she sure plays a mean tele, and Ally Veneable is, as always, a Guitar Goddess. Bet this was an amazing festival on par with Clapton's festival. Too bad we couldn't add a reunion of the BlueBonnets to the mix, they're right there in Austin.

3 of the greatest blues guitarists in the world, but the bass man had to keep the groove up for all! And nail his solo!

The lady in the yellow blouse is a mean bad-ass guitar player as well as the bassist!!

Good one. The drummer was on it. For me, on F/K's 'Going Down' the piano intro sets the tone, and drives the lead guitar, who in turn drives the drummer. It's a remarkable piece of ass-kickin' blues-rock. Plus, Ally's always easy to look at.

This is a great cover. All 3 are really great. Joanna Connor is totally amazing. If you get a chance to hear here play slide guitar it's worth the RU-vid search. Joanna could give Derrick Trucks a run for his money. It would be amazing to see Derrick and Joanna play together. Ally also reminds me of Samantha Fish.
