The ALM ‘QUAID MEGASLOPE’ is a five stage function generator or modulator which operates in one of 3 modes.
This tutorial covers each of the 3 modes and shows off various patching ideas. Create complex five stage envelopes (with a looping sustain phase), super controlled LFOs and CV sequences with per step glides. Per stage level and time CV inputs plus EOS and EOC trigger and uni/bipolar CV outputs make Quaid easy to deeply integrate within your modular system.

I think people are sleeping on this module. It’s so expressive and fun.

I concur. Looking for a complex envelope generator and this seems a lot more interactive than so many others.

Is it possible to have two quaid's lined up and have a continual sequence/step mode run from one to the other. Meaning step 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 on Quaid 1 flowing right into 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 on Quaid 2 to make a 10 step linear sequence (and then back to 1)...I've managed to get the end of cycle/step forward as shown in the video but I can't seem to figure out a way to get steps 1-10 to play in a direct line.

It is possible, however it requires some additional patching, they don't directly chain. You can achieve this by adding a sequential switch module like our Boss Bow Two. See here for a patch example doing so with 2 Quaids: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cC2UG-WV0oY.html

@@busycircuits Fantastic. I have the BB2 and knew there'd be a way to do this. Thanks for the tip!!

Where did you get those 1/4" adapters? Nice demo btw!
@busycircuits
@busycircuits 4 года назад
The adapters used with pedals are just normal Hosa headphone adapters.

I wonder if this can be chained to a mi stages?

Is there a way to randomise envelope looping other than randomly modulating levels?

Why there isn't a more descriptive manual available?

Can you create single envelopes just with an A/R function like the MI stages?
@busycircuits
@busycircuits 2 года назад
Envelopes can be as simple or complex as you want as set by the controls. For A/R just the first 2 stages are used. Quaid is only ever a single envelope but highly flexible and immediate.
