It's a blessing to have this podcast. I have learned so many things, and I love how the two of you are not afraid to say, "I've never noticed that before. " Thank you!
So Awesome and I know the prisoners I write to will really feel the love of the Savior and of you wonderful brethren today and it will help them to understand there is always hope!! They use the information from these pod casts in there small little Church Group!! They each listen and then discuss this information in their Come Follow Him lesson study! Thank you so much for the light you bring!!
Thank you. I have felt a greater depth of the BOM, after listening to this presentation. It has deepened my testimony. 🙏 I thank all three of you for giving freely of your time and talents. I know the Lord will bless you greatly for this, because you are giving beyond the time at your professions, your callings, and your families. I can't express my thanks deeply enough in how you help me, in my weekly CFM study. 💞 Also, I always love the laughter and humor. Keep it coming! 😊
Another great time sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Alma 36-38. We are regular listeners from Rigby, Idaho! And we thank you for the great work you are doing on these podcasts!! Hallelujah! 🙂
Im always listening during my commute and its at 3am but it starts my day off the RIGHT way. I learn so much about different stories and feel the spirit so much to where Im shouting with excitement at times to being in tears all during my drive haha and I LOVE IT. Thank you soo much!!
Thank you for having Jack Welch on this episode. It was a thrill to listen to he and Hank and John discuss Alma 36-38. I listen every week from Riverside, CA!
Loved the discussion about chiasmus... appreciate the discussion about Welch and Nibley! Bottom line: the Book of Mormon is amazing at inviting and bringing souls to Christ... it is most certainly "the most correct book" on the planet!
So thankful for these wonderful discussions! Thankful for the gospel knowledge you each are so willing to share. Always enjoy listening to Brother Welch!!
Hi brethren just wanted to drop a note and say thank you and God bless you for your efforts each week to bring this incredible gospel insight program to pass. It is a blessing in my life and my bride. I love it and both halves make the whole story. It causes more saints to continue to be students. Thank you from Airdrie, Alberta.
I love Alma's discussion on looking to God to live. How easy is it for us to read the words of Christ contained in the Book of Mormon. Sadly, many don't.
Thank you as always. I am a Sunday School teacher this year, and I love the depth of knowledge I get from you and your guests. This was a feast. As a woman I can’t help but wish we had his counsel to his daughters. One thing I know, he had an amazing wife. To raise such boys when Alma was so busy all the time and gone for so long. Is it just me who wonders about her? I always marvel at what the Lord can do in our lives, when we use our agency to be humble and follow Him ❤.
I have a comment that more closely matches last week's lesson. In Alma 34, it talks about turning away the needy, the naked, and, in essence, turning away from Christ. The US quarter has always had the phrase 'in God, we trust' on it. However, the position of George Washington has changed. Before the new quarters began appearing, George faced toward that statement. Now, his face is turned away from the words 'in God, we trust'. So subtle and yet so powerful.
John, I enjoyed your comment on enlarging our memories. I immediately thought of how many times the prophets used the word or phrase when calling the people to repentance, "Do you not remember" Reading scriptures daily does enlarge our memories and keeps us on the correct path. When we read about a spiritual moment in the B of M it can and will bring back to our memory our own small spiritual moments that will help make our own testimony larger and stronger
Mind Blown! First time I've learned about the concept of Chiasmus and super excited about it! Thanks for making me love scripture study and understand in ways I've never before! Also for reminding me/restoring hope that maybe these brush strokes with my five kids may actually be meaningful haha.
The comment about the passover enactment of three sons, one very righteous, one good, and one wayward, gave me a thought: Were the sons of Alma, coincidentally, like those three, or is it possible that they were role-playing for ceremonial purposes?
I hope I can get an answer from you on something that has been on my mind. We read and hear Church leaders and it was said again this last week in your podcast that Heavenly Father loves ALL His children. I know He loves those that have come to earth and gained a body and likewise those on all those other worlds, but, does He still love Lucifer and those that followed him, who will never gain a body and will be cast into outer darkness? I know Father does not like nor condone their actions, but does He still love them. Has anything ever been clarified about this?
